Friendly staff and fast tire change! The team at Fountain Tire were extremely helpful when my tire popped on the Saturday of a long weekend and I was towed to their shop. I was not from in town and it was my first time dealing with a popped tire; they were supportive and I am very grateful for their help in a challenging situation.

Amazing people. Amazing customer service. They were able to patch my tire till I get new ones next year. They are a no pressure atmosphere, I would highly recommend these guys to anyone that needs tires or tire repairs.

First time dealing with Fountain Tire. Had a couple of bad tires on the company truck this morning. (arguably more than a couple...) Rob picked me out a couple of good used wheels to get me back to flushing the city streets. Kudoes to the poor guy working on my truck, he was just getting over a chest cold. He was having a hard time breathing and speaking due to the cold induced laryngitis.
They got me up and running and back on the road in no time. You guys are awesome, thank you again.

Ordered a set of tires March 28, was advised by the woman on the phone the tires were on back order and would likely take 3 weeks to arrive.
I called back on Friday (April 19) looking for an update. The man on the phone (Marty) was confused about whether or not an order was actually placed or if I was just given a quote instead. He asked for my name, so I provided it, and he told me there was nothing ordered under my name. Cool. Marty asked me if I was available to come in Saturday so they could take a look at my tires and make sure they WERE going to be ordered this time and in the correct size. Trying to be hopeful that they wouldn’t absolutely bomb their customer service again, I agreed.
I live in the west end, so despite being on the complete opposite side of the city I drove there on the weekend because I need new tires. When I arrived, the woman I originally spoke with remembered our conversation from March 28 (impressive). She typed my name in the system and told me my tires were ordered and had in fact arrived. Initially I was excited, I turned to Marty, sharing with him that my tires arrived, thinking he might share in the excitement that the tires wouldn’t need to be reordered. Of course he would be happy that now I could fork over roughly $1000, right?
Instead, Marty began arguing with me that I told him on the phone I was only “quoted” for tires and that I hadn’t actually ordered them and that’s why he couldn’t find it in the system. Excuse me? First of all, I told you they were ordered, you were the one who wasn’t sure - hence why I gave you my name to check if they were ORDERED. After a bit of back and forth I finally informed Marty that I don’t work at Fountain Tire and obviously wouldn’t know whether or not anyone actually ordered my tires. Unimpressed with his absolutely deplorable customer service, I turned back to the woman to set up an appointment. She seemed to be the only person with any shred of customer service skills or any actual knowledge of the situation.
She told me the tires were there but that she had to physically locate them, which for some reason she could not do. She then told me when she looks up the tire brand that the tire I had ordered is no longer manufactured. There was no explanation offered as to why their system would say they were ordered and had arrived when they are supposedly “no longer manufactured”. After trying to sell me a new set of in stock tires that cost $100 more PER TIRE (I declined) she then offered to call the manufacturer first thing Monday morning (today) to determine what was going on.
It is now the end of Monday, no one called me with an explanation. Needless to say, even if it turns out that they somehow magically have my tires available I will not be doing business there and will recommend to every single person I know they go to Total Tire or Canadian Tire.

Marty and the team at Fountain Tire are nothing short of amazing. You really feel like you are dealing with family when you walk in, they are straight to the point with work needing to be done and are always looking for ways to save you money where possible, while providing exceptional service.
They are my #1 recommendation for a mechanic in Sault Ste. Marie and will have my business for as long as I am driving a vehicle! If you are looking for a new mechanic, you’ve just found it.

I showed up out of the blue with a flat tire that also caught me by surprise. Thankfully it happened near Fountain Tire, they said they would help and had me back on the road in just a few hours. Fantastic!!!
