Advance Hobbies is a gem and a cool shop for anyone into RC cars, planes, or model kits like Gunpla. The store has a very nice and excellent selection, with TONS of already built models in display cases. They offer a good selection from SD to MG kits, along with items like action bases and Tamiya products. While not the biggest selection for some items and with prices described as fair, alright, and around medium—pretty much the same as everywhere else—many customers are happy to support this local business.
The service is outstanding, top-notch, immediate, welcoming, and friendly. The staff and owner are incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and always happy to help both beginners and experienced hobbyists. They really care about the hobby community. Customers highly recommend checking it out in the GTA for its knowledgeable service and cool stuff, noting it reminds them of old times.
This place is a gem. Talk to Alex and he is very knowledgeable on almost any topic you throw at him. Remembers part numbers by heart. I have been visiting them for 16 years now. Excellent customer service and we should all support this local business .

I've come here many times 30 years ago. I've returned and the place feels familiar as it is the same owner. Very friendly and helpful. A great place for Tamiya brand RC products and accessories. Located in a local mall with plenty of parking.
