I purchased it yesterday and when I brought home the next day. I noticed the lemons are rotten. The next afternoon, I brought it back to the store and got my refund, I advised the store manager and immediately took action and removed all of the rotten lemons from the shelf. Employees didn't brother to care. Thanks for removing all the rotten lemons.

My go to shop for a quick buy. Cheaper (in terms of price) products, but quality is good. Perishable products like fruits and vegetables are not that great

Their shelves were unkept in the fruits snd veggies area as usual, selected a quart /clamshell of strawberries for $3.88, by the time i got home and unpacked, they were all squishy and soggy! I quickly found my bill and they will be getting these back tomorrow!

I bought some coconut juices and a cheesecake plus other items along with my mom who bought bags of rice etc. We visited for the first time from Stouffville and spent 300 dollars between the 2 of us. However the cheesecake turned out bad (not to mention overpriced) and the grace coconut juice was stale. They should not sell stale or expired products. I was very upset afterwards. I called management to complain, however they did absolutely nothing…not even an apology.Normally Food Basics is know for lower prices. However, I found this site majority of products were overpriced and only a few items on discount etc. It’s a complete rip-off. I willl not be shopping here anymore and neither should you if you’re smart. I think Walmart is fairly family friendly and No frills is ok and also Costco has discounts if you buy in bulk. Consider going somewhere else…Thankyou?

Prices are fairly cheap but it feels like the store is really outdated.

I went to this place on July 26th by 3.20 pm. The shopping carts were not good. Not even 1 cart was good, near the entrance! So, It was challenging for me to carry things. The customer service was good. Ronak, the staff who helped me was courteous. I forgot to take 1 item. He called me and gave me the item. Thanks.Fix the shopping carts soon!

2nd time I've been here and all they gave is rotten food. All the produce is rotten and they are selling it at full price. I can't believe it and people are actually picking through it to find the best ones.

Don’t even have basic produce items, and the line-ups are busy as a zoo

Getting really frustrated with shopping here. The groceries are generally fine. They are slow to mark stuff for quick sale, so be very cautious when buying marked down products... especially bakery stuff.Prices are usually reasonable, and despite having inadvertently purchased stuff that is moulding, I have only ever had a quality issue with the discounted products. The reason for the very low rating is the difficulty in getting groceries out of the store and into your home.It is becoming more and more rare, no matter what time of day or week I go that the lines are of a reasonable length. Generally, I see only 2 cashiers with 5-8 people in each line. On rare occasions, they open a 3rd line. Heaven help you if you need a raincheck. No matter what line you're in, even if it's the customer service line, you WILL have to go to another line for it. When you get to your new line, there's no guarantee they can issue a raincheck. "I can't find this product in my list, oh well, can't do anything". When you do get a raincheck, it's not uncommon for the item to be out of stock until after the 30 days are up to use it.Now, they also close extremely early on weekends, so that narrows the convenience factor as well.If you have nothing better to do, the prices on most products are more reasonable than No Frills as of early 2023, but you also need to evaluate if your time is worth how long you'll be stuck in line for what may be $1-3 in total. Sometimes the sales are enough to draw me in and give up a chunk of my time, usually I avoid it though

I would give them FIVE stars if they would just open another cash lane! The little lottery booth on the way into the store has so much character, it's one of the reasons I occasionally stop here. The grocery store draws me in because their prices are so good on many items, such as coffee and some cereals. Some produce items on sale have good prices too.

I find Food Basics has better prices than others. Organized aisle, pleasant staff, good choices of vegetables. Surprisingly, their own brand Irresistible and Selection are good with competitive prices.Park free, wheelchair accessible.

The only thing l didn't like about this store is the deli counters are too high for handicap people like myself to see you. They need to have a bell to get their attention. Had to get manager help to get a fresher pack of food than there was when l first asked the younger worker. Was surprised to see me come pack with boss. Haha.

Good place for basic groceries. Their produce is often not fresh, other than that a good grocery store.

Veggies are not fresh at all.. Packed foods are fine but for veggies would recommed to visit some other stores.
