ATM down today, a normal 1 min withdrawal process took 5 min and finally get tech issue. I though as long as not dealing with the helpless staff, I will be OKCLOSE IT DOWN. GARBAGE BANK.

James Lin, senior manager provided exceptional service when I was in search of the best mortgage rate in the midst of rising rates this year. He was available to answer all my questions, is very responsive and went the extra mile to check in and provide me updates. He was attentive in looking after my application and I was able to secure a really good mortgage rate on my property thanks to James and have recommended him to my friends!

Horrible branch!!! Absolutely horrible!!!!I want to take out large amount money as bank draft, the lady just said different restrictions. Next day, I went to another North York branch and did all the stuff smoothly. Hiring these kind of staff definitely affect the bank's reputation.

Terrible customer service. The only reason I joined this bank, it offered Euro accounts. But now, even Scotia offers it. I will switch everything. First, Terrible, really terrible customer service on phone. They speak no English. I have to ask 3 times as I cannot understand what they mumble. They also lie. I was renewing my investment, asking her, do I get same interest? She said YES, which surprised me because rates went down. I asked her again many times, she said, I still get the same old interest rates. Needless to say, when statement came, interest was minimal. She lied. Also happened next time, when I renewed another investment, same story. Guy promised me higher interest on phone, yet it was 0.25% less on statement. And he switched me to a branch phone, claiming someone will pick it up. They did not pick it up. Tell me, which bank does not allow you to talk directly to branch? Only HSBC. Any other bank you can speak to branch directly. Not this one. They have one generic number to call, and it is same for whole Americas. They do not allow you to speak to branch.Again, decided finally to withdraw my investment, transfer it to another bank. I called number, after 20 minutes, answer, woman speaking no English, told me after 15 minutes she is not a person who can do it, she will transfer me to someone. another 20 minutes on hold, I spoke to someone, who spoke better English, but it took her 10 minutes to tell me she is not a proper person to do it either. She apologized, but it was useless. She provided me with number again, same number I called before. I gave up and visited branch in person. Now they want 75 dollars to transfer my investment. A lot more than what they paid me in interest since. Their euro account they call HIGH INTEREST. Do not be fooled, interest is zero. And if you make it dormant, they charge you on top of that, 30 dollars. Imagine, you get zero interest on High Interest Euro account, and you must pay them also. Never want to deal with them again. Terrible, terrible customer service on phone, and horrible rates. Run....... Not sure if it has anything to do with China taking over, but it really seems to be ignorant service only China can offer.

I just came from this branch and met with Jesssica Chang and thought she was super helpful and knowledgeable. Gave me a lot of good info about my mortgage options. I'll be sure to go back to this branch when I'm actually ready to apply for a mortgage.

Applied for a mastercard online, then did my in person verification here. They have no clue about the promotion online. It appears the in store branch and the online head office don't communicate with each other, and they are using a 30 year old system. They eventually lost my file and yet my credit report was pulled. Branch will tell you to call telephone banking, telephone banking will tell you to call the branch. Waste of time.

Worst bank ever.Please do not open accounts here.They just waste people’s time. Just acting like this is Hong Kong. They always asked you to sign two times. When you ask them a question they just act stupid just like born todayOnes I wanted to get a direct deposit form, I was asked to wait because the manager is not there.I also bank with TD Canada Trust. The best you can get. I was a fool opening an account at non Canadian bank. Will close this account as soon as possible.

The brach is not capable to record the transaction properly. As a result, their customer service over the phone does not see the notes that supposedly posted in their system.Their call center staffs have very poor communication skills. I am canelling all my accountants. I never recommend this bank to anyone.

I booked 2 appointments to open a new account at this branch.I went there, the advisor never showed up.after waiting for 30 mins, someone came and told me to book a new appointments again if I still need their service.They also never called me to reschedule.I wish I have 0.5 stars to rate.Terrible services.

This is my first review in google. I wanted to write this to let people know about the benefit that I received so others can also avail such benefits. I went for Mortgage approval to Stanley Chen. He was super awesome and helpful. Didn't ask a bunch of questions like other banks (visited 3 other banks). He was straight up to the point and followed-up promptly and got my mortgage approved at a very good rate.If anyone is looking for mortgage, please go in here and especially to Stanley Chan. He will take care of rest of the things and will make your life much easier.
