I have dealt with them for four years now because they are close to my house and my workshop. Every contractor friend of mine says to go to Alpine.I’ll make that drive from now on for the following reasons:They won’t demonstrate a product prior to taking your money, and charge restocking fees even if it doesn’t leave the store. They don’t test things before sending them out again after repairs and service. They are very slow to get things done (repairs and service). For example, they sat on my TS 800 Stihl (concrete cutting) saw when all it needed was a pull chord they didn’t stock. They don’t communicate well. There is always a problem, and there are too many of those to remember.Just go to Alpine.

This place rips you off while smiling at you. Toke my stihl chainsaw in for repair. Came back not working and charged they me 250.00 plus tax. The part they said replaced costs 35.00.Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

Had a malfunction and a part broke off from my weed trimmer.I called and discussed my situation. The gentleman was polite and informative, and asked me to bring it over, to fully check it out just in case it's more than just a part replacement. His recommendation was helpful and there was a little more than the part I thought I just needed. ?He replaced the parts that was needed and did the repair pretty fast. ?The cost for the replacement parts and labor was extremely reasonable. ??I would definitely be going back here for sure, if I have to in the near future. ?%

Don't understand why such an awesome company like STIHL can use this company to sell and service their products....they don't honor their repair quotes, just pull random prices from the sky when buying parts like 19.99 for a O-ring, listening to the owner talk down to customers in a condescending manner is absolutely digusting, I Love STIHL products and have 9 pieces of equipment and so glad that I found a very reputable Stihl dear in Pickering Power products, their the same owners as Markham mowers and are fully legit, honest, and respectful business owners who always treat you with respect and professionalism....don't waste your time or money at Silvermile Hardware!!, its well worth your time to go visit Pickering or Markam mower....you won't be disappointed and more importantly you won't be scammed or ripped off...witten quotes that are honored or surprisingly maybe even less!!!

Over priced. Get you with a low estimate, and prepayment. Then over charges for their service. Oil change and tune up cost me over $200. The lawn mower almost cost that much. Nothing wrong, no other work other than a tune up.

What a bunch of con artists. Over sell you for what you need then when the product doesn’t work right they charge you a huge fee just to look at the product even when its under warranty. Not to mention the same warranty they got you to upgrade.Family con artists certainly not a family business.Would never go back.Stay clear of this place.

Took a chainsaw in for a basic tune-up, they ended up charging almost $300 and it was worse than before. Took it to another shop and they told me the spark plug was cross-threaded and I was better off buying a new saw. I would go elsewhere for servicing.

Brought in a chainsaw to be checked out. They suggested servicing it and replacing some parts with a grossly inflated estimate. I declined as I knew the cost of the parts and what labour was required. They didn't have it ready assuming we would agree to the ba repairs. They said they needed time to assemble it so it's "at least safe" to use. When I finally received it, the chain was on too tight for safe operation and the bar oil leaked excessively. Take your repairs elsewhere

Silver Mile made purchasing a chainsaw a pleasant experience. Knowledgeable staff were eager to assist and demonstrate the safe use of the chainsaw for us. Would definitely return to and recommend Silver Mile Hardware.

As I don’t know about an engine or mechanic issue. I should don’t go to this scammer.Silver Mile Hardware is a big scammer business owner. I have never ever seen in physically fraud, dishonest and greedy shop owner. They have charged $90.00 in order to check my snowblower.A few days later, I got a phone call from the scam shop that, they asked me that it will cost a couple of hundreds dollars in order to fix the machine. I have agreed to pay $200.00 and then they said it would be $300-400 dollars. As I was totally stuck with the big machine, I have no choice to move around because it would be more costly for renting a truck service. Finally I have decided to fix it by the offer of $400.00. Suddenly the owner has changed his own statements that, he asked for $500.00 and then I have understood that they were not an honest business owner. Also they have not touch or check my snowblower, but they charged $90.00 for nothing. They asked me to pay $ 410.00 plus tax and then they will fix it.Since I have lost my trust from this dishonest store, I was searching the technician from Kijiji. I have found Small Engine Repair Services. I called them. They came to my house and gave the price quote, which was unbelievable cheaper. Suddenly I was agreed. They have brought a five dollar parts and it’s took about an hour in order to fix it.They charged hourly $40-50 dollars. As I asked for flat rate I have to pay him $120. I was so glad to pay him $20 tips. They Asian man surprised me with his great service.

These guys offer terrible customer service. A new snow blower, used part of 1 season, oil changed after 2 hours of usage as per manual and 91 octane gas used even though I read 87 octane is ok. They said it was bad gas and that it is not covered under warranty. Ended up costing me. They also need to learn diplomacy when dealing with customers.AVOID THIS PLACE!!
