I went to Sketchley Cleaners to get my uniform dry cleaned. The man who I assume was the manager looked at me and said nothing. Mind you I was on the phone but I waited for him to finish altering someone’s shirt. I waited there for 10 minutes. His wife looked at me and came out to talk to him then went right back to work in the back. He proceeded to take another shirt to alter and still, No one acknowledged me. I said, “I’ve been waiting here. I would like to dry clean my uniform.” He said, “you are on the phone.” You must acknowledge us first!” He asked what uniform? I said, my work uniform. He told me, No!! I CANNOT DO. Vouchers are over. First of all, I never stated I had vouchers so I don’t know why he would just assume that. I said I can pay cash! Not a big deal. He then started to get loud with me and said that customers are supposed to acknowledge them first. I must say Hi to him and tell him what I want. Last time I checked, employees should acknowledge their customers. Not just look at them go back to doing whatever you were doing. I know for a fact if any other person was standing there of another race, they would’ve served them right away. When race was said, both him and his wife got upset and said “NO! we will not dry clean your clothes.” It’s sad but it’s the truth. The owner is very disrespectful. I should’ve went with my gut. The negative reviews about this place are accurate.
I asked to talk to his wife because sometimes women can be more understanding. He told me not to talk to his wife and closed the curtain. Don’t give me attitude when I’m here supporting your business. Will definitely not refer anyone to this business. Do Not Go Here!

I went for a small tear to be fixed on the lower left side of my jacket (year old jacket), when I went to pick up the lining of the sleeve was messed up ironically on the same side, Joseph was very defensive and raising his voice. I don't do well with confrontation and was trying my best to not make him feel like I was accusing him saying things like I understand and it could have been a mistake. Eventually he said give him 5-10 min to fix this I came back and he didn't do anything it was exactly the same. He went on raising his voice and being defensive to say it's because of my sweater which I wore with the jacket when I brought it in then he said it's the company's fault (Steve Madden) he also lied and said there was a tear on the other side which they "stitched", there was absolutely only one tear and I believe since the sleeve on the other side was fine again he was trying to defend himself crazy! Definitely will do my research moving forward to anyone who plans on getting something stitched BEWARE! No ownership terrible customer service I would give a 0.5/10, 0.5 is for how nice he seemed to be upon arrival.

TAKE YOUR BUSINESS SOMEWHERE ELSE; YOU DESERVE TO BE TREATED WITH RESPECT. On the first day off for my week, as part of my errands, I went to drop off some shirts to be cleaned. I was a bit surprised that the turnaround is an entire week (no mention of time of day) but went ahead. Went back the next week - a day after the pick up date on the receipt - with a new batch of items and again was told one week (again, no mention of time of day). I didn't read the reciepts - I know what I droped off and where, - but glanced at the item list and the pick up date. I went to pick up my items first thing in the morning on the day listed on the tag. I was told that all of my items were not there as I had to come after the time listed on the reciept, which was changed from 3pm to 6pm during the interaction. I mentioned that it would be better to tell people to pick up the day after if items cannot be picked up until the end of the day. This was upsetting to the merchant who said that the time is on the reciept and I should have read it and it is not his problem if I can't read or don't read. I have no idea why there was such aggression for such a simple comment on my part. I was very relieved to see that the majority of the other reviews echo my experience as it would seem that I was not the problem.

I inquired about a price on shortening sleeves on a suit jacket and dress paints was told $100. I said no way and that I wasnt going to spend that when the suit was just over $100. The person seemed pretty defensive when I said no and showed me a receipt from another customer to try and convince me that that was his pricing. I was like I'm not mad and it's not that I don't believe you, I'm just not going to go with you. Ended up getting it done in the mall for half the price he quoted me.

Went in to have my clothes pressed but instead had them dry cleaned when I specifically said I did not want that. I was overcharged, the man was completely unprofessional and made some personal rude comments towards me. How is he still in businessServices: Laundry wash & fold

I went to take my uniform in there in the very beginning he said that he did work for our company and I said it's okay I wash my uniforms but then I got to thinking I got all these coupons I'll give him a try. He refused to take my clothes first of all I had to explain to him that I used to wash my uniform that's why I didn't use them before even kind of backtracked a little bit and said okay I'll do them he then then said he needed my company ID as well as the coupons in advance. I've no problem with giving him the coupons but why does he need to see my ID I have all the information including my badge number he says he needs it 4 my profile this man is rude obnoxious and definitely overcharges.. if he's the only choice around I definitely will go back to washing my uniforms again I don't want to give him any business. But this is just my opinion I'll let you judge for yourself

Overcharged! Went in for hemming and shortening of sleeves. Than he went on saying this and that need tapering. He charged me $200. Didn’t thought of it at the time but when I puck it up, he took the receipt from me as if he didn't want anybody to see how much he charged me. Why would he took my receipt, he has a duplicate copy. To get rid of evidence? Just wanted a hemming and shortening of sleeves and I paid $200! My ruined a perfectly good suit too.Service: Alterations

The man who I believe is also the owner, is very rude. I went in and tried on a cotton dress that I wanted hemmed for the next day. He said he could do it. I tried on the dress in the back, he used a single pin to mark the alteration. I made the mistake of asking him after I tried the dress on how much it would be and he said $35.00 plus tax and went to the front to serve the other customers. I decided immediately not to do it, as it was a simple H&M dress that I paid $7.99 for on sale. I could do without a hem. When I went out I politely waited for him to finish with his other customers. The woman who worked there asked for my details, and I told her I’d changed my mind. The man then interrupted us and rudely asked if I don’t want the hem anymore. I said yes. He asked me for the pin back (so immature, it’s laughable) and then took the pen out of the woman’s hand and dropped it on the table. “You don’t want it? Ok done” in an extremely dismissive manner and tone and proceeded to help his next customer. So unprofessional. People are allowed to change their minds. A little customer service goes a long way. I will never go there again.
