Newly engaged and I went in today to get my ring resized a tad bit bigger as well as to get a quote on changing out my center stone. Instead of agreeing and taking my money, the jeweler gave me the advice to be cautious about resizing during the summer when out fingers swell most. He also gave me great advice on center stone options but then, based on my wants/needs, told me it's best to stick with what I have if I want my stone to remain durable. I really appreciate the integrity of this jeweler and will definitely be coming back if I need any changes to be made to my rings!

My fiance purchased my engagement ring from this Spence site and they were so professional and perfectly secretive! I had no idea this was in the plans for the many months before he proposed.
The ring is perfect and it's lab grown so I feel morally at peace with how it was sourced. The cut is stunning - it just doesn't compare to other rings I've seen while browsing around on my own.
We're very happy with the service here and are planning to purchase our wedding bands from this site as well.

Yikes. Came here to look for wedding bands. The male worker on Saturday afternoon made sexist remarks and asked intrusive questions about cost. Maybe he thought it was charming. It came off as a big ick. Its unfortunate because I always regarded Spence Diamonds as a trusted, professional jeweller, but after this visit I can conclude it doesn’t matter how many ads you pay for if your sales rep is slimy.

My husband and I went to Spence Diamonds on progress avenue in Scarborough. This was my first time shopping here. We were shopping for a new set of wedding rings to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. When we walked in we were amazed with how many rings to choose from. We were left to browse the store, if we had any questions they were answered in a way that we felt we had a friend. We dealt with 2 staff one of which was Michael the store manager who helped us in the choosing of the rings and the other was Nicole who dealt with the payment process. These 2 individuals made our visit a very enjoyable experience with no pressure to purchase. I usually take at least 2 or 3 trips before buying something but going to Spence Diamonds this was not the case. I have picked up my rings and love them. The quality is superb and I’m very happy with the purchase. I would highly recommend Spence Diamonds.

Thank you so much to Nicole and Randa for helping me find the ideal engagement ring. It is easy to become inundated with all the different options during this process, and why I greatly appreciated that they made me feel comfortable while chiseling out every little detail. They never pressured me into making any decisions, and instead provided examples to showcase the different options patiently.

Excellent experience and service. Liz and Nicole were amazing by helping my partner and I answer our questions and making sure we were cared for. They made the entire process enjoyable and less stressful while we were looking at the many different styles. Highly recommend going to Spence Diamonds in Scarborough! 10/10 will come again for wedding bands (once we're engaged ?)

The radio ads are bad and the in store experience even worse. They made us go through a presentation, look through a microscope, and pressured us to put down a deposit. Lots of intrusive questions, and a dismissive attitude and remarks. The whole thing had car salesman vibes where you felt you couldn't leave. Perhaps worst of all, the prices are also very poor, especially for the lab diamonds. Independent stores we checked were approx 50% cheaper for very similar lab diamond specifications. Do your research and don't fall for their problematic tactics.

I bought my wedding band less than 2 years ago and I have already had to pay to repair it twice. In under 2 years of wear the majority of the diamonds are chipped and/or cracked.
Spence advertises that they guarantee to be free of defects in materials and workmanship, but this could not be farther from the truth. They refuse to stand behind their product in any way. After my second repair they admitted to selling me a ring design that has a history of loose/lost and damaged diamonds. They would not replace the damaged diamonds at a reasonable price, would not allow me to make a new ring with the few diamonds that were not damaged, and would not offer me any kind of exchange or value for my current defective ring to buy something else.
Save yourself the frustration and shop elsewhere.

Very professional, I was helped by Randa Bakhet, who helped me create my vision of an engagement ring for my future wife, I would recommend this location to anyone looking to purchase diamonds, gold anything.
