Be careful renting from here. They force you into a larger vehicle then what was ordered. They charge you an extra DAY for the rental when you're 30 min late. The service at this location is terrible. Ordering online does no count for what they actually provide you. They over charge the mileage even when you describe specific distance

I didn't know if the location was open on Sunday. To find out i kept calling and finally someone call back right on the due time for return and I immediately drove to return the vehicle, was one girl on the counter and long line up and finally when returned I was overcharged for an additional day!Girl at the counter said she wasn't authorized to get the refund but she put notes in the system and gave me a number to call the manager would would see the notes and make the refund. nothing happened! I called, left voicemail, emailed but no action and not even a return communication!

I have been renting from this location on and of through out the years, but my last experience was very good. I rented a 10' truck and found that is has wheel wells, this was going to cause an issue with the load I was to transport. Even though the staff here could not remedy the issue they definitely did everything they could to try and help me out. That's what customer service is all about.

I have rented from them & it was for short trips & 1 day moves, cargo vans are good & spacious. The location is off the 401 hwy which is convenient. I was surprised to find their storage is the cheapest I could find (approx $190 for 8×11 foot outdoor no climate control) I needed something easy & it was an outdoor garage basically, easy to drop off & sort things. They also provide indoor climate controlled storage. They had lots of staff but they seemed new, they tried to get me the best info & overall were very helpful. I also suggest you buy packing supplies here, they are good quality (packing tape, tried the dollar store it was garbage, kept ripping). My personal favourite is the plastic wrap, I use that on my furniture, pictures & mirrors, it keeps things from getting chipped/scratched when moving. Easy to locate from the road, lots of parking & restaurants walking distance if you're tired after moving & returning your truck or moving into storage.

I had a terrible day and experience with U-haul yesterday. Considering I’ve used your service on many occasions in the past, this experience was beyond unacceptable.- First of all, my order was modified without my consent (I wasn’t notified in any form of communication, no email or call. I can further prove it from my phone carrier if necessary)- I was sent to the location in Scarborough. I first drove to the location I used before in Markham and was told the pickup location had changed to another one and it was quite distancing from where I move. Which resulted delay in my pick-up time. Then when I arrived at the Scarborough location, I wasn’t able to mobile check-in and had to wait for 40 minutes just to get the key. (I was told the reason why I can’t do mobile pick-up is because of the location change I’ll have to re-do the initial payment) which further delayed my time moving in and out for 1 hour or so.- After, I realized I was provided with a down-sized van, although I booked a 10’ cargo. They said they don’t have cargo available there, but why did you change my order to here? and I measured all my furniture before yesterday!In sum, my moving time has been delayed tremendously with additional labor costs paid to the helper, and I had to spend 2 trips and additional gas associated with it. Plus, they charged me additional gas for $11, for I have confirmed that I’ve filled up to the level at which I received the car, and I have photos before and after to prove it. I had to pay $80 for additional labor + $20 additional gas + $11 unreasonable charge because of all being said.I do understand this is the busy season for moving, however, I can not accept it because you're penalizing your customer because of your fault.

Booked a trailer two days in advance, they hooked a non functional trailer to my truck. They for ed me to get a small trailer or they would not give me the $50 cancellation credit which uhual promised.No wonder this location has 2.7 star review at this time.My recommendation is to ignore this place.

It was a very very bad experience I've ever had with U-Haul. I booked a truck for Oct 2, 2 p.m., and I chose 24/7 self-pickup. On Oct 2 morning, I called customer service twice to change my pick-up time to 4 p.m. because of some delay in my schedule, and both of the staff told me it wouldn't be a problem. When I arrived at the pickup location at 3:30 p.m. that day, reception staff told me that my reservation was cancelled because I was "LATE", and there were no notes or changes to my reservation showing that I changed my pick-up time. I called customer service again and they told me they didn't know what happened, but they offered me a truck which would be returned at 4 p.m., and that truck would be assigned to me. I waited until 4 p.m., and I saw the truck was returned. When I talked to the front desk staff, she told me because my name was not in the system, and my previous reservation was cancelled, she couldn't give me that truck. I tried to find some solution, but she just kept saying "I can't do anything. Just talk to customer service". I asked to talk to the manager, but she refused, saying that there was no manager on Sunday, and that she wouldn't help me to call anybody else. During the whole 1.5 hours I spent in the U-Haul pick-up location, I got no help from anyone working there. The 4th time I called customer service, they finally put me back into the system and I got the truck from another staff. During my waiting time, I was told to step away to clear out the space. People working there show an inpatient attitude and zero will to help.

Though the Truck was clean, it needs more maintenance as the sound from the Truck was higher then the average truck.Secondly, the fuel was only 1/4 tank, hope it is at least 1/2 tank full, so one does not have to stop and refill the tank.Thanks.

Booked a trailer rrservation with the app. Due to problems in the past I decided to call enroute to the store just to confirm the availability of the trailer before I got there. When the store finally answered, they said the trailer wasn't there. This was a total waste of time and was beyond frustrating. They didn't even have the courtesy to call to let me know that the trailer wasn't going to be available at my pickup time. Unfortunately, this was not the first time that's had happened. I will no longer use this store.

Had the worst experience ever. Reached the u-haul location at 10:00 am to get my truck. Waited for 45 mins in the line even when i had the reservation, and then when my turn came up, the system generated an e-alert which had to be fixed by the e-alert support team for me to proceed with the booking. Was in the waiting line for almost an hour and then got the chance to speak with an e-alert support associate. They were supposed to call me back in 10 mins, meanwhile I had to reach the location as no one from u-haul was taking their call at the location. Reached there, waited another 45 mins for e-alert support team's call, got the issue fixed. Turned out there was an issue on u-haul's side, my license was flagged as it was linked with some other booking which happened in 2022. I was blown with this. I had to wait for almost 3 hours to get the truck because of a system issue on uhaul side, despite being running on a strict moving time-line. It was a nightmare. Will try to look for another truck rental next time.

booking was fine. i got the truck neat and clean. but after checking out once i returned the truck, i noticed more than 50% tax charge. they redid the receipt and still addition of the amounts was incorrect. service rep did issue refund. but i highly recommend everyone to check the different kinds of charges and make sure you understand what you're paying for. your boss keeps a track of your work before paying you, so you should also know what you're paying for..

We went today to install a hitch. The place is somewhat crowded, we waited for quite a while for the reception, but the installing specialist was supernice. He pulled us out of the line and installed our hitch quicker than expected, explaining everything he did on the way. We'll see how it holds, but for now I'm very satisfied with the service!

The lineups are way too long here. I had to exchange my equipment and I was told to wait 5 minutes for them to get the keys to a pickup truck. But then after 30 minutes I was told there isn’t a pickup truck for me because someone booked it online even after being told they had one. This wasn’t ideal for what I needed to haul and had to use a cargo van instead. All in all I spent almost 2 hours at the location waiting in line and for equipment.

I picked up my trailer and after I loaded it I noticed that the hitch arm support was cracked and broken. I then had to return to uhaul and unload the trailer and reload it into a new one which was an inconvenience.The staff was polite and the wait times are long which I have come to expect when going to uhaul.

After a horrible experience at our original U-Haul location we had booked at (738 Sheppard), we were directed to this location. We picked up a 26' truck and the entire booking and return process was seamless. We appreciated how quickly the staff helped us get on our way.
