the man who was working the night of Friday sept 22/2023 between 930-10pm was an absolute moron, my bf who had recently just renewed his health card and had the proper paperwork attached went to represent his ID in order to buy liquor, the man then stated "this is expired" over and over again we showed him where on the paperwork states that his healthcare is valid until the hard one comes in, this man still kept repeating himself, we asked him to call his supervisor and the man spoke not one word of English so god knows what he was talking about- this type of showing ID upon waiting for new one is valid at any bar casinos, any ontario government offices, but yet not a simple gas station that has a liquor license at 10 pm on a Saturday night- this man was ignorant and incompetent and was completely inappropriate my bf and I did not come in the best looking and is his eyes we probably didn't give him the standard upraoch of what a good upbringing is. which is ridiculous not only was my boyfriend upset I was upset and this has to change, if your going to work in a candian ontario run gas station, English for the customers who's main source of language is that should be spoken and all sides need to be heard and patience and have the proper understanding for the rules and regulations of ontario identifications,,,,,, this man SHOULD NOT HAVE A LICENSE TO WORK IN CANADA. absolutely appalled by his behavior.

I stopped here to buy gas (must prepay inside), snacks and to use the washroom. Much like another reviewer's experience, the price tag on the shelf didn't match the scanned price. The clerk, after some back and forth and after he finally checked the shelf, said, "Oh, you're right. I'll have to let my manager know". I said, "That's fine but you still have to honour the price posted".After some more back and forth his solution was for me to pay cash for the item. I agreed as I had some cash. He put all the snacks together and totalled that (incorrectly, charging me tax on the incorrect higher price but I helped with my trusty calculator app and it was quickly resolved) and refunded me the difference.Prior to paying, I scanned my points app. I didn't see anything on the screen but he said, "It's fine, it's there". Turns out it wasn't scanned for the snacks but for the gas only. And if he couldn't do the cash refund on the system that took points, he should've only charged me cash for the item that was incorrectly priced and not all of the snacks - those should have been put through with the gas so I could at least collect points on the rest. And to top off this experience, I asked to use the facilities which require a key. He searched around for a bit and then came back and said someone locked the key in the washroom so I could not use it. Surely there's a spare key. I do not think this is the very first time someone locked the key in there. However, by this point I was so annoyed by the whole transaction that peeing in the bushes by the side of the dark highway was a more attractive option.I would like to end by saying that overall I actually had no issue with the staff person (at most, I was most bummed by the points thing but hard to fault him for trying to think outside of the box to find a solution). He was friendly, patient and polite throughout. And came up with a solution.I'm upset with the way the place is run - staff are not able to process a price change? They're not told where a spare key can be found? Feel bad for the guy having to deal with someone like me at 3am (spectrumy type a la 'if it's the principle, I can't let it go') when I doubt it's his ineptitude that created this unpleasant experience but someone else's.
