Horrible customer service in Shelburne on October 17/2025!
Recently had the misfortune of visiting the Shelburne location with a friend. We tried to purchase Halloween candy that was on a flyer special with a limit of 6. My friend was purchasing 2 boxes as well as some other items, I was purchasing 3 boxes. We were told there was a limit of 3 and because we came in together that was all that we were allowed. After a brief argumentative discussion with the young sarcastic cashier, she grabbed 2 boxes and put them defiantly behind the counter. We told her we do not live at the same residence. She did not care. We left both orders there, she snatched up all remaining boxes and said, with dripping sarcasm, have a great day. Perhaps she was grabbing them for a friend of hers. Unfortunately proper customer service training isn't available on the inside of a cereal box. Disgusting.

My favourite giant tiger around me,has a good selection always and prices seem ok could be better, and other reviews seem to not like the staff, add some more self checkouts I guess. If I could get something from here I would recommend the Hot Honey Giant Tiger Brand Kettlechips.

This review doesn’t include certain female employees. The excluded employees are the girl who organized the cigarette display n the wonderful girl who wears fashion colours in her hair n has at least 2 young children. I’ve been a customer since the store’s inception over 30yrs ago, but due to some employees at this location I’m now unable to be a loyal patron. The many policy n rules changes relating to cigarettes are excessive n not actually government mandated regulations. The new rule for no longer allowing personal reusable bag was the deciding factor, especially how the condensing aggressive employee told me about the policy. NOT all employees are rude, unwilling to help n have aggressive attitudes. I’m no longer a customer due to how n what the male West Indian cashier with a brown complexion, short dark hair, glasses n of a medium stature said to me n how he interacted with me. The rude confrontational employee said “go buy cigarettes somewhere else” simply for saying due to wallet thefs increasing im uncomfortable n I don’t like needlessly bringing my identification into the store, I’m decades over 19yrs old. I have many other complaints n examples of the employees poor behaviour, attitude n actions over the past 5yrs. There’s far too many for this particular review. However the owners may contact me within 5 days for the complete detailed explanations by responding to this review. Im willing to explain why I’ll no longer be spending a minimum of $350/week at their store, thanks to one inappropriate employee. 2 incidents I’ve witnessed n will discuss involved police n traumatized my 6yr old niece who witnessed the officers conduct. These events n the loss of a loyal $350/week customer should be concerning to the owners. I will contact corporate with my concerns n experiences due to the seriousness of the incidents, perhaps the owners or management would like to know prior to corporate relaying the situation prior to corporate escalation.

My favourite store. Closer and cheaper than Walmart. Always have my size. Wish it was a bit bigger, but this is my go-to for clothing and sometimes food and treats.
