About Simcoe and District Humane Society
Simcoe and District Humane Society has been serving Norfolk County since 1953, with a mission to help animals and people while promoting education on good pet ownership. The staff is described as helpful, providing support to both animals and the community. However, the location faces criticism due to limited parking and a need for a larger facility. Despite these challenges, the Society continues to thrive on donations and fundraising efforts, as they do not receive government funding. Many visitors express gratitude for their services, sharing heartwarming stories of successful adoptions, like a cat named Danina, now Rayne, who has become a beloved family member. Community support is vital for the Society to continue its mission, and contributions of food and supplies are always welcomed.

I got my sweet beautiful girl at one of their adoption events. I told them my needs and they managed to match me with the perfect puppy. She is doing amazing and I didn't think it was possible to fall more in love with her everyday. I have adopted many pets and I honestly think this was the best interaction ever.

Just adopted a 2 year Shih mix and the women at the SPCA could not have been more friendly and helpful. His name was Bluey but we changed it to Louie. He is micro chipped , all his needles and house trained. Strongly recommend adopting, volunteering or donating to this great cause.

The lady in charge let me look at the cats ,which was my reason for visiting. Although the facility was closed on Wednesday. Which I didn't realize .animals seemed to be in good health .Will go back in a week or so and decide on a feline .
Positive experience.
