Hours: Giant Tiger in Smithville, ON, is a popular family discount store known for offering on-trend fashion, groceries, and everyday essentials at low prices. Established in 1961, the privately owned company has grown to over 270 locations across Canada, with each store locally owned and operated by team members involved in their community. The store provides a shopping experience that suits busy lifestyles, whether in-store, online delivery, or in-store pickup, all focused on quality merchandise and affordability. Customers appreciate the store's good prices and the increasing selection of produce and clothing. Many find the store tidy, well-stocked, and friendly, with helpful staff. The store is considered essential for the local community, especially since it offers basic groceries and necessities that are otherwise limited in the area. However, some reviews mention that the store is too small to meet growing demand, often running out of specials and having limited supply of certain items. There is a strong opinion that expanding into the empty space next door could significantly boost profits and better serve the increasing population, as the current size restricts the store’s capacity. Overall, Giant Tiger in Smithville is valued for its affordability and convenience, with suggestions for expansion to better meet community needs.
