About Village Pantry
Village Pantry is a fantastic local bakery and convenience store offering a genuine local experience. The food is delicious, authentic, and always fresh, featuring great bread, soft buns, cinnamon buns, and tarts. They also make pizza with great dough and quality cheese. The staff is exceptional, super nice, friendly, and courteous, with well-trained younger staff members. The customer service is great. The location is great for a stop-by, though the entrance is awkward and there is no wheelchair accessibility. The floors need to be replaced. Prices are okay. A noted drawback is that they never have coffee made, which is puzzling for such an establishment. While generally decent, some menu items, like the Canadian pizza, use bacon crumble instead of traditional bacon. It is a dangerous place to have near home because the baked goods are so worthwhile and delicious that visitors would stop frequently.

The pizza is totally worth the detour off the 401. It's Canada's response to New Haven. If you're in the area, plan a stop. There's a gas station across the street, so a couple can tag-team the pizza slices and fuel up. The mill is lovely, too.

Hard working and personable staff. Friendly faces and a community vibe. The bread they make is really good too.
