Hello thank you for your time, I hope you are having a nice day.My sincere apologies for the long post, please take the time to read it, we the customer ALL feel this way. If you want to continue getting my business, and more business, please read all of it, thank you for your time.I have to give this a 2 star review, and I will explain why. I have been coming here for years! It’s your prices. Two years ago, it used to be $15 for a men’s hair cut.Now it’s $33.00 roughly.I am mid 40’s, I have tipped my barber wherever I’ve lived for years. It’s now at a point where I just can’t afford to tip anymore, as a tip will put me at or over $40 for a men’s haircut which is insane.I love the service, the haircuts, and staff are great, but it’s the prices.I am seriously considering leaving 1st Choice Haircutters for “Musa’s Affordable Haircuts”.He has a few Niagara based locations, and his prices for a basic men’s haircut is $18.00!!!! ????That is much more reasonable! If there’s any way you can bring your prices down to this level $18.00, I would consider not only staying with you 1st Choice, but I would consider coming in twice a month!! ????You would also get a LOT more customers, as customers, we are always looking for ways to save money, and support local businesses.Just to give you a couple of examples.A restaurant I go to, has refused to increased their prices, and has NOT reduced the amount of food on the plate. This restaurant is always busy with in person orders, online orders, and delivery orders.Another example is my storage unit. I have been there 2 years, they have increased their price by $30 since then.I have found another alternative $50 cheaper. They are losing my business. This minimum wage increase is a constant circular trap. When the increase happens, all the businesses, and stores increase the prices of their goods and services. They just pass the cost onto the customer, which isn’t right.People’s salaries do NOT change much, if at all.So if we as customers, are constantly being ripped off left and right in every corner of our lives, this does NOT solve anything. If you lower your prices to $18.00 for men’s haircuts, you will have a lot more customers, and will open up the market for haircuts.I will stay with you, and consider haircuts twice a month at $18.00.Not to mention Seniors, and people on Disability benefits do NOT get salary increases.Something has to change now.Why not be a business that actually cares about its customers, and the hardships we are ALL facing??You will gain more customers this way, trust me!Sorry for the long post, I had a lot to get off my chest.

I'm new to St Catherines and went to get my hair cut today at First Choice and they don't take cash. why does a business not take cash? I went to another business that did take cash. I won't be back.

Connor did a terrific job! I needed a trim on my long hair plus a touch-up on the undercut. Connor was meticulous with everything! I will definitely be back to see Connor the next time I need a touch-up ?

There are no words to describe how furious I am with the experience I had here, but because I am virtually incapable of being nice whenever I am honest with someone, I lied about liking the God-awful haircut that I received today!:EDIT: I just went back and got a different hairdresser to fix what the other had started. Luckily, she's cut my hair before, so I generously am bumping up this review to 3 stars.

Just love getting my hair done here. The staff is very friendly and they take the time to listen to their customers. I got a body perm first time in March and came back to get a haircut and a fresh perm done.

Although making an appointment is a guaranteed chair I've found thier awsome team of hairstylist's are ready to accommodate (walk ins) and have noticed they are always paying attention to detail when cutting customers hair.Laura @ the this (Bunting road) location is my hair stylist who knows her way around when doing men's cuts and in my opinion she is a "cut" above the rest and I suggest making an appointment if you want her to cut your hair ;-)

Was shopping at Freshco and came across First Choice, never regretted that decision. Laura was attentive and caring and gave great advice about length and bangs and I was so happy with the hair cut and her friendly attitude, great customer service. This was a few years back and I have been going to Laura ever since. Highly recommend First Choice!

I was disappointed, the person who did my hair was to rough in washing my hair, never did no massaging. I will not have that person again

So busy on a Sunday with only 1 person working. She did a fantastic job of taking care of everyone, super friendly and a good kids cut. She apologized for being a couple mins late which so was not needed!!! What should have been a bad experience turned into a good one thanks to an amazing emoyee that smiled and did what she could short staffed.I have great respect for a person that keeps her cool and can work through pressure of no staff and STILL give a great haircut. Thank you thank you thank you for being a professional!!!
