Back in April of this year I switched my banking from a big bank to the Meridian Credit Union on Lake Street. I couldn’t be happier with the decision to make this transition.
Starting with meeting the manager Justine, to having an appointment with Davis to get everything going, I couldn’t be more impressed with the staff at this branch. They were polite, professional, and really cared about my banking needs. The rates and fees were also very competitive, which was nice to see.
The products were as well. The infinite visa cash back card is a great credit card.
Although I bank online, I also like the fact that I can go into the branch when needed. Everyone is so helpful.
Thank you to Justine for getting the ball rolling, and to Davis for handling all the details effortlessly.

I lost my job and I asked them if I could skip my mortgage payment by a month and they told me since I already skipped once in a 12 month period they won't allow it. I've been paying my mortgage for over 10 years without any hiccups and the one time I need some help they could care less. Will be switching once the mortgage is up. Might as well call them Meridian bank. No wonder they dropped the "credit union" off their branding

Customer service that’s doesn’t know what they talking about spoke to them last week about having a Saftey box set up over the phone they said they have the paper work and keys and everything done up I’d just have to come in and sign for it. Come in and they can’t help me said they dunno who I talk to but that’s not how it works I’ll have to make and appointment for the next week and have a meeting and sit down with someone, it’s okay I’ll go get one somewhere else

I have been banking with Meridian Credit Union for 30+ years... The Lake Street branch is now mediocre at best. There are usually only 2 tellers working at a time. Meanwhile there are more open wickets with nobody tending to them. The wait time while in line seems like it takes forever - as I have yet to physically set a stop clock upon my entrance. Even calling them on the phone results with nobody picking up the phone, and you are forced to leave a message.What is truly upsetting, is the fact that Meridian issued new credit cards (what a mistake that was!), and I have been trying to change my PIN number for the last 2 weeks with no success. The useless customer service representatives don't know when I can change my PIN either, and advise me to use the one which was mailed to me. I have even been hung up on twice now by these careless representatives. Needless to say, I will NOT use this credit card until I can use my own PIN number. Ontop of all that, if you get 1 security question wrong, there are no other security questions to answer and the call is ended. I have even been considering to completely switch banks due to these frustrations listed above.Ontop of all the frustration, Meridian Credit Union is now CANCELING MY BANK ACCOUNT AND CREDIT CARD WITH NO EXPLANATION WHAT SO EVER! WHAT A PATHETIC BANK THIS IS!If you want your bank account canceled for no reason, go with Meridian. I would highly recommend finding another bank! Meridian is total trash!

Contact Center. Way too small, I had a miserable coworker harassing me on my first week, a red head manager who's involvement with reps is whipping by the rows on her way out for the day, no care in the world, and one bad call it's all on you in harassment. No privacy. No culture. Only peace is when the red head leaves at 5pm.

Latest Visa credit card customers switchover is absolutely horrendous and still unresolved many days later. Do better. This is shameful.
