I am extremely disappointed with the service I received at Midas St. Catharines. Three years ago, I had them do some exhaust work on my car which included replacing the resonator pipe after my catalytic converter was cut off. I was assured that the part they used was of good quality, but it has since rusted out and now needs to be replaced again. Unfortunately, it’s just outside the warranty period.
A few months ago, when I realized I was having muffler issues I brought my car to a different mechanic who explained to me that my resonator pipe had rusted out. He was in absolute shock when I told him I had it replaced a few years ago by Midas. Shortly after I brought the car back to Midas and they initially offered to help with the cost, which gave me some hope. However they told me that I actually can likely get a few more years out of the part so they painted it with rust protection paint and said to keep driving and and they will help me with the cost once it needs replacement. Now a few months later my exhaust sounds horrible again. When I brought the car back recently, they quoted me almost $500 for the resonator replacement with no acknowledgment of their prior commitment to help me with the cost. After expressing my extreme disappointment in the quality of the parts they use, they finally offered a discount of $30, which felt more like a slap in the face than a genuine effort to make things right.
In the end, I took my car to another mechanic who was able to do the work for about $150 less than what Midas was charging. It’s frustrating to pay top dollar for what turned out to be subpar parts and service. I will not be returning to Midas and cannot recommend this shop to anyone.

I have a 2012 Fiat 500 which has been serviced by Midas, on Ontario St., St. Catharines, on different occasions. Recently , Midas had to perform an automatic transmission fluid exchange/flush, engine coolant flush & oil change. This servicing would take up most of the day, which was fine with me & the service was very important so there would not be major problems in the future. Midas mechanics & technicians are all professionals, & they all have the know how. The office staff are also very helpful, polite & informative on what repairs are necessary for their customers. I rely on Midas for all my vehicle's maintenance. Thank you Midas for a job well done.

Just oil change 1 hour 45min .. their is no oil filter they even told me I wait 55min .I got an appointment time if it is a
good company they want to told me here their is no filter.next time I will not go..

Midas on Ontario Street in St. Catharine's is my go-to place for my car repairs. I had an appointment today and needed to take my high energy 3-year-old with me. They have a lovely little area for kids to play - thank goodness. It was a lifesaver. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. The waiting room is nice and clean and their prices are always fair. Another great service at Midas. Thank you!

First off the positives..I’ve been to this location a few times now for different issues. They always acknowledge you when you walk in and ask how they can help. Today I came in for a repeat oil change. When asked what type I wanted I said same as last time, your basic synthetic oil change. I know they have access to my history so I assumed they would see exactly what type I meant. After an hour I was at the desk to pay and was told it would be $130 odd dollars. I questioned the price as it showed on the wall a price of $64.99. I knew I didn’t pay that high a price before. They had given me a platinum synthetic oil change which is not what I asked for. Colin checked what I had before and agreed that’s not what I wanted. He passed me along to Frank who quickly said I had asked for the synthetic, which I did, but not the $94.99 one. He did adjust my bill, however I never heard one person say “sorry about the mixup”. He just handed me my bill. Good customer service isn’t just when you walk in the door..you should leave feeling better than when you walked in. Sadly I did not.

They listened my concerns and Frank and I took the car for a drive so he could hear for himself the issue. They explained everything to me during the process of repairing. Colin and Frank are the 2 I dealt with. Great guys, superior service. I highly recommend you go to this Midas for any kind of service for your vehicle.
