Terrible customer service. I received fridge that I was not completely happy with, i called asking someone for help to try and rectify the issue,through exchange and employee told me nothing could be done., call manufacturer. No help whatsoever, basically was told Pirie is not Walmart , good luck moving forward. Terrible service in my opinion

We purchased a new fridge from Pirie Appliances after our old one stopped working. They removed the old fridge for no extra charge and even provided us with a loaner fridge until the new one arrived (within a week).
The delivery crew was fantastic. They removed the front door of our house to get the new fridge in, put it in place, removed all the packaging, and hooked everything up.
There is so much value here that we could not find at any other store. Easy recommendation.

We recently purchased a new Range, Laundry Washer and Dryer from Pirie's. We were treated like family from the time we started first spoke to our sales person til the time everything was delivered! The entire process was super easy and has been nothing short of fantastic! Our sales person Steve G was a pleasure to speak with and was super helpful! Our old dryer died as we were about a week out from the expected date of arrival to the store after ordering. As luck would have it, our dryer arrived to the store that day (a week early) and we got it the next business day (was a Friday on a long weekend it came in). Delivery and removal of our old appliances was smooth and easy. The two awesome guys that delivered and installed were the nicest guys and did a very thorough job! Everything was double checked after installation to ensure it was working properly. When there was an issue found with the one item it was taken care of immediately and without issue. This is the AMAZING customer service we've come to love about Pirie's! Having worked for a big box store, I know how complicated and awful of an experience it would have been to deal with there. We are so happy with this purchase and we recommend you use Pirie's for ALL your appliance needs!

They are not upfront about their 10% restocking fee, the sales staff are abrubt & cut you off when voicing concerns and they also round up their tax to the nearest dollar.

Our (inherited) GE washer broke a few days ago and we weren’t sure whether to try to repair or replace. The washer is 5 years old and we did not want to make a huge investment on an older appliance if we didn’t have to. Further, as we have been scammed/ripped off in the past having service techs (from other companies) come to our house, we are now always wary about having anyone come for repairs.
I spoke to my father and he recommended we call Pirie Appliances, as he has been going to them for years for appliances/repairs, and thankfully we did.
We called yesterday and they had someone out this morning. The rep I spoke to on the phone explained everything including how it works, their pricing (very reasonable) and what to expect when the service tech came. Amazing customer service right off the bat!
This morning the tech came, I believe his name was Randy. He was professional, kind and friendly. The only thing bad about him is that he is a Bruins fan lol. He explained everything he was doing, replaced the part that needed fixing, explained the pricing and we paid the bill. He was in and out within 25 minutes.
We are blown away by the level of professionalism we received from beginning to end. There is clearly a reason this business has been around for so long and has a high reputation. I will be going to them for any appliances/repairs in the future - they have gained a customer for life. Thank you Pirie Appliances!

We are confident that we get the best products at a great price here. They have wonderful customer service, staff are very helpful when helping choose new appliances. They are very reliable and honest, products we bought here have been great quality, with great installation and delivery services. Great service!

Rude customer service and do not rely on their repair warranty.I had my microwave sent for repair. After almost 2 months the same problem happens. I called them and said is it warrantable they said we need work order number. I do not have work order number but i can give you the week it was repaired and the credit card transaction. They said we can’t unless we have work order number. How can they not search the credit card transactions which is a form of payment. Beware of this folks

Our dryer broke on a weekend and after a quick call to Pirie I was scheduled for 2 days later for a service call. Aaron showed up on time and was incredibly friendly and kind throughout the service call and the price point was very reasonable.Would definitely recommend!

Called Pirie as a local business to fix a leak in my fridge..Huge mistake! The tech who came chipped away some ice buildup, which I had to point out to him, charged me for a service call and very quickly left in his service van. A couple of days later we figured out why he was in a rush to leave...Should not have wandered too far from him while he was in our house..Thankfully a family friend fixed the issue in a matter of minutes but the Pirie experience, with this one particular tech, was simply horrible...Look elsewhere!

BEWARE Overpriced and terrible customer service. Bought a part for a dryer and found out they are double the price you can get it for elsewhere. But I asked what if this does not fix problem he said EXACT WORDS “try it and bring it back if it doesn’t work”. The part was never used only rotated by hand and it did not fix problem. Went to return it and same person said now it’s used and he won’t return it. Then he just walked away and went into back room leaving me a counter. Save your money and compare prices at least with AMZ I could have returned it. I try to support local business but experiences like this make it hard. Their customer service was just totally awful. Lots of places to shop for stuff like this so again check around for fair pricing and also look for quality service.

Pirie is the best in St. Catharines for all appliance needs. They're service and expertise shines well above the bigger stores like Goeman's or big box stores. The fact that they service what they sell makes life so much easier for the consumer, and they keep track of warranties and are always smiling and willing to help! Highly recommend - don't bother looking anywhere else!
