I love this place. Half of the time I come simply to chat with some interesting individuals. Also, I have never mentioned a novel which Steve has not meticulously combed through the thousands of books to find, as well as give me insight and recommendations along the way. I can honestly say this place permanently changed my life for the better as it made me grow an even greater love for reading. Thank you so much Steve and Ronnie, I can’t wait to chat you up soon.

I know that I'm in the right place, that I have found what for me is the perfect bookshop, as soon as I pass the threshold. There is that familiar and timeless aroma of old books, endless shelves of them arranged in a maze-like pattern that tempts you to explore and discover hidden treasures. My response to such a place is visceral, and has been so ever since I discovered the wonderful world of books as a child. What makes The Write Bookshop even more perfect is Steve, its owner, who is a kind and lovely person with an encyclopedic knowledge of books. For me, no visit to St. Catharines is complete without some time in the shop, and I am excited to introduce my friends to the experience whenever possible.
