The only reason I'm giving a one star is because of Lisa - she is absolutely horrendous to deal with, scoffs at you, rolls her eyes and just has an overall poor attitude. This woman has been miserable for years. The rest of the staff are absolutely wonderful and have nothing negative to say about them. Also, I would like to note that they have no problem opening the cash register up for a higher priced item because they dont trust you, or allow you to scan them at the self check-out. VV, you really need to look into the people you employ that will be managing not just the store but staff as well.

It’s not acceptable to force customers to be cashiers, or be rude at checkout because of these silly self checkout installations . A non-profit business based on increasing local employment, following hoax of covid this establishment has adopted somewhat ‘unapologetic’ attitude. It’s time to change back to the point where people were happy .

I found them a little rude today and I found things way overpriced for stuff that were given to them for free. They need to lower the prices

Prices are a bit high but I continue to shop here. Just the candle here priced at 24.99 is kinda wild

Dunno what the people who price their items are smoking these days, but google lensing everything is a poor way to determine its actual value. In general VV locations often now price things higher than they retail. Some times you find a good deal here and there, but its quite the scam this company is running, take stuff for free and sell it at ridiculous prices. Try to remember this is a comapny ran for profit - not a charity.

This Value Village has lots of amazing thrift finds and is usually bursting at the seams with product. The only issue is the pricing seems too high for the average thrift shopper. I am sure the prices are fine for the flippers and re-sellers, but it is too much for the families buying used clothes or shoes for their kids. You can really tell this is a for-profit store unlike other thrift shops in the area.
Additionally, they appear to have gotten rid of all their cashiers. It is self checkout only now and the last two times I visited they only had two of the self-checkouts open (they have 6 or 8 total). All the while the line up of people is growing and two staff members just stood there. This is while a supervisor/manager opened a till and cashed out two employees. That left a bad taste in my mouth. Perhaps open another self checkout when you see a line up of four or more people? At one point in my 15-minute wait in line it appeared an employee opened a till and when the lady in front of me went to use it a manager said “THAT”S CLOSED” even though the screen was on and the lady was about to scan her items.
Do better VV.

Great thrift store. Clean and well-organized. Very affordable.

I wish Value Village still priced their free merch like it's actually meant for economically disadvantaged people again. They charge the same amount of money for USED JEANS as Walmart and Old Navy do for new ones.
Get a grip on yourself.

Absolute robbery. Marking up every day items that they get FOR FREE to exorbitant prices. Stickers do not make sense, no real value in anything and value is determined by what this multi million dollar corporation determines it to be. Not sure what they’re paying their employees but it’s not enough to be putting so much money back into a company that obviously doesn’t care about humanity. Management looks at prices as customers are checking out and state that the item “isn’t worth that” and jacks up the price another $10. To whichever employee monitors these reviews: this corporation does not think you’re important, don’t take your job too seriously! It’s not worth it.
If you’re looking for a deal might as well just ask the people dropping off the item as they are kindly willing to simply hand it over to you :)

Way more well-stocked than VV stores in other places. Items are typically overpriced as usual. Another shopper and I laughed at an item that was at a price higher than if it was new.

staff is unpleasant & roll their eyes when you ask a question. The store is one the dirtiest I have ever seen, I was turned off by how dirty it was. I understand it’s second hand but you should keep the store tidy and welcoming. Prices are ridiculous and have no reasoning on why they are marked up like that. It’s just another corporate company stealing from the people who are actually in need… I understand the resell market has taken off in the recent years but still there is many many people out there who relay on stores like value village and you genuinely make me sick that you can’t see that you aren’t a resell mom and pop boutique you are a corporate company that doesn’t have a spin….
