Love the staff, they always get a 5 out of 5.It's the prices that get 1 our of 5. They have gone up so much, they're selling dollar store items at higher than what you can buy them at the dollar store. Also, I bought a pair of shoes for my husband, name brand, for 34.99, so very expensive Merrells, and they fell apart on the first wear. They were bootleg, 100% cheap knock offs, and I paid that much. That's not fair at all, and nothing can be done. I've basically stopped going unless I need something very specific . Booo Value Village, booooo

T he staff is great, but value Village needs to lower some of their prices, when I've seen some products selling higher that what wall Mart and old navy sell the same product for, why buy those items at value Village, like I said staff is great lower your prices!

Prices too high, and some don’t make sense according to market value a conditions.some item are exactly the same and priced different.remember the item was donated and free to you.I realize you are a retailer with a overhead but more realistic prices would be the way to go.remember your client ele is not all wealthy, and you are taking thrifting to another level and taking the fun out ,which it was once.sometimes prices are a serious decision to buy or not to buy. More volume would be purchased.that’s what consumers are reporting…….that what I hear more and more often

You have to look through a lot of stuff to find what you're looking for. Sometimes the racks are packed too tight.I love the discount jewelry at the front. I wish they had more tools.I always spend more than I intended. It's hard to stop throwing things in your cart.

Their pricing has gotten so out of control these are items that are being donated and I often see things at or above retail or literal trash (empty sparkling water bottles not anything collectable?) at ridiculous prices. Saw a book set that was more expensive than new on Amazon in that moment. There's plenty of examples of this over the past while it has gotten so much worse. It's shameful tbh people shop here to save money in an ever increasingly expensive world - their corporate should be ashamedThe st Catharines store is especially bad for pricing.

I try not to leave bad reviews but i think this needs to be said... because quite frankly, every time I visit this location, I truly wonder "why did i waste my time here?"This store is the headliner of a capitalistic nightmare. If you are curious and want to truly understand the effects of capitalism, just head over to the local Value Village and just take a sec... really look.Look at the racks and racks and isles and isles of goods they've sourced for FREE, over half of which are cheaply made/scratchy/dirty/heavily used/damaged, and will most likely end up in a landfill..... Then look at the prices, selling for more than new almost every time (and staff brain washed to believe these prices are justified). Now they've gotten really clever and are getting JEWELLERY APPRAISALS, selling branded items for hundreds of dollars in a display case just because they can.... Look at the security guard assuming you'll steal something because you looked at it too long. (This is where we are at the thrift store. A security guard).... And then look at the self checkout. Not only does value village *source your items for free*, and jack up the prices, now they are expecting you to do the work for free too! Its hilarious and sick and twisted! As I was walking out, i saw a pair of *USED* men's underwear for $5.Not to mention every interaction I've had with staff/security guards at this location has been extremely negative.Gone are the days of being thankful for having shoppers in a business, by providing things like free bags, a welcoming smile, and ready to help attitude. Gone are the days of relying on a thrift store to source clothes for yourself and your growing family, or finding a cherished item at a great price. And heaven forbid you're tight on money and can't afford new, relying on the thrift store to be clothed and furnished. Well gone are those days too.But they've done the gruelling work of accepting other people's belongings that they quite literally Hand to them for free, so i guess it's justified. (s)Does anyone see how wild this is becoming? It is completely out of hand.Capitalism is a disease, and greed is the symptom. See it here first.

Store clean and lots of selection.Always good for a browse.Never know what you'll find.Prices have increased over the last few years by about x2 on average for many items. The only things that don't like (and they're not changing it) are there are no change rooms for clothing and self checkouts with debit/credit only are not my preference.

Value Village as a whole is rarely a value anymore but this location takes the cake, definitely the most overpriced location around the Region. Absolutely horrendous prices on the majority of items throughout the store. I used to spend an average of $50‐100+ every time I went in a few years back but now I often find it hard to find anything to buy at this location, not because of the selection but strictly due to the overpricing. They need to understand that everything isn't a high priced collectible and their items are used, often damaged, stained or missing pieces and basically free to them. They need to take the word "value" out of their name and stop pretending to be a thrift store.

Overall a poor experience. Their donation center is in an awkward spot where cars waiting to donate block the sidewalk making it hard to impossible for disabled people to enter the store. My interactions with three employees were very negative. They all had very abrasive attitudes and language.Lastly the inconsistency in pricing is wild. They had two identical frying pans one for $20.99 and one for $7.99 with the cheaper one being in better condition. But this inconsistency was also true for clothing, bags and electronics.

Prices seem to be getting a little straight. It's interesting that any other used goods store in the area will sell records audio cassettes VHS tapes those kind of things from the 90s for 50 cents to a dollar. Go to Value Village and single VHS Takes Two Bucks. audio cassettes I think sit around the same price I haven't looked in a while. And then Electronics it's weird how the prices work I don't want to know how it works. It's odd that genuinely vintage things will have either really high prices over the low prices for instance would be one week you can go in and find a VCR for $9.99 you can go in 2 weeks later and find another VCR not the same make not same model for 29.99. That is an extreme difference. Previously besides I don't want to know how the price of stuff.

This place has gotten so ridiculously overpriced. Be careful as a large number of items are priced higher than a regular store. Know your prices before you go. The clothing section is pretty decent, cd's are reasonable. The shoes are over priced trash, knick knacks are extremely pricey. Purses were in not great condition... Nothing price wise reflects the poor quality. Collectibles are much cheaper on Facebook marketplace. Do yourself a favor and go check out other thrift shops. This one should be called greedy village. ??

over price, I find it kind of dirty and they sell a lot of broken items. Clothing is less desirable and is really badly over price.I really only like to go buy artsy type stuff, from this location.

Some products are even more expensive than brand new ones. I feel they mark prices randomly, beause some prices don't make any sense. They got everything for free from donations, but it is not a nonprofit business.

This place has a Lil bit of everything. A neat thrift store for clothes, toys, household needs and everything in between!! It also has Halloween costumes for that time of year used and new!
