The Butcher and Market is a long-standing brick and mortar shop in the heart of St. Jacobs village. It is a small store with a wide selection of delicious products, from country classics to gourmet goodies. The shop offers homecooked ready-to-eat meals, deli meats, cheeses, butcher choice cuts of quality meats, sausages, pastries, chips, and sauces. Notable items include their infamous hoagies, surprisingly decent smash burgers on Fridays, and a perfect Thursday Brisket sandwich made in limited quality. Prices are not high and the quality is excellent. The local employees provide great, old-fashioned customer service with a happy smile and careful attention, making customers feel right at home.
We stopped by this market and got some deli and cheese. Fair price for good quality products. We really enjoyed the summer sausage and roast beef which are made in house!

Always has been a good place, but now it's a great place. The local employees make you feel right at home with a happy smile and careful attention. They even know my name. Reminds me of going to the Kitchener market 60yrs ago with my dad or grand dad. Customer service the old fashion way.

They make surprisingly decent burgers. I'd recommend coming here Friday noon to try out their smash burgers. $6.75 is pretty worth it.
