Had our Mortgage set up by a brokerage through Scotiabank and haven’t been overly impressed so far with them as a whole. Was supposed to have a phone appt with Densay on Thursday before the long weekend, when the time came for the appt he never called. Scotiabank cancelled the appt without emailing or notifying in any way. Then we scheduled an in person appt with Jason, he seemed very uninterested and behaved like we were wasting his time paying off our vehicle loan. Trying to talk with him, he constantly interrupted and cut me off from talking. Ultimately just passing us off to one of the tellers. The tellers in the front were extremely polite and helpful but I don’t recommend any of the “specialists” that work there. From the other reviews I’ll probably be doing any Scotiabank business in London going forward.

These people (Agent & Manager) thought I was homeless because I came in covered in drywall dust (doing a reno) looking to open a new account. I provided all documentation required but they declined to open me a new account. I took it all the way to the top, they protected their own, apparently they can deny anyone at their discretion (DISCRIMATION).
Their loss, my wife and I had just sold our home and were looking to move all our money over from RBC.
Bad management, at least one awful teller that actively discriminate people. Saw another review where a gentleman got belittled due to a low amount of funds in his account.
What a horrible place filled with horrible people.

I REALLY LIKE THE BANK FOUND PEOPLE TO BE GENERALLY HELPFUL BUT TEND TO BE IRROGANT ,WE YOU GO IN THERE IS NO FEELING OF FRIENDLINESS MANAGERS ARE NEVER IN SITE HIDDEN IN THERE CUBICULES WITH THERE COFFEE SAD STAFF ARE NOT HAPPY TO BE THERE.SORRY FOLKS THATS WHAT i SEE AFTER 20 YEARS LONDON FOLKS ARE A LOT MORE UPBEAT.

I’m not sure what’s worse the staff or management. After having an incident where the bank was at fault, I had the teller ask to see my card, who proceeded to cut it up. The manager then wanted me to provide proof of the bank error or they would exit me and refuse service! This is nothing short of appalling, disgusting and by every measure piss poor customer service. At minimum the entire staff needs retraining from the top down, best case scenario would be to fire everyone and start new. The staff here should be embarrassed and truly find a new place of employment if you are so miserable as to speak with customers in this way. It takes far more positive feedback to acquire new customers, it only takes one customer with a bad experience to spread the word and have a far greater negative impact in new customer acquisition. This was a failure on the staff as a whole and the manager specifically, but a missed opportunity with a new customer. Thank you for saving me from supporting this company, my only regret was trying them in the first place! Avoid this place at all cost!

My husband and I recently dealt with David at this branch as we were inquiring about certain products and accounts. He took over 3 weeks to get back to us after we had reached out to him several times and left messages. When we finally heard from him he didn't even know the specifics (interest rates ect) on what we had inquired about in the first place! Yet, he made us seem like an inconvenience and a waste of his time. We have been with Scotiabank for almost 20 years and we are now looking at switching banks. This branch is also in a fairly sketchy area, which is not their fault, but still impacts my banking needs. The hours I find are too short and there always seems to be lines when you go. Tellers seem friendly for the most part. Would not recommend however based on our overall experience with Scotiabank.

The bank is in an unsafe location. I went to deposit money at the ATM and there was a homeless person asking for money on the stairs that followed me inside. It was a very uncomfortable situation. I never go to this bank alone.

I am afraid to use this bank because of its location and it was solidified the last time I went to deposit a check at the machine. Two people in the lobby smoking crack pipes and asking me for money. It's worth the extra drive to London where I can use the drive-through machine and feel safe.

Worst bank I have EVER delt with. Nothing posts to your account until the next day so you don't know if your bills, cheques, came out properly or not. I have been trying to e-transfer money but I can't add anyone for the last 24 hours, calling the helpline gets you a canned response, download the app.... cheques are ridiculously expensive, waaay cheaper to get them done at Staples. Your online account has no brrakdown of balances until it prints the following mo th. AVOID this bank.
