Very frustrated. This happens every time, I emailed my financial adviser to move some money over from an resp to pay my daughters tuition for next semester so she can see her grades. No response, emailed her again because my daughter has fraudulent purchases on her account, no response. She called the bank and had that sorted but this happens every time. My pay-checks also have a hold on them every single time whether I go to the teller, deposit through the abm or deposit through my app. I have worked for this reputable company for 6 years and not once has a check bounced, I know because I do their bookkeeping. Unreal, the lack of customer service I may as well move my business over to a company that doesn’t have physical banks since that’s how they operate anyways. Also the tellers are very judgy. We have been with Scotia for 10 years but I guess loyalty doesn’t matter to them.

Deposited a check from the UK in the slot, check was returned, money debited from account went in 3 times, they told me that you can not deposit uk checks in the slot, had to see a teller. Fine, can you give back the check so I can do that I ask. Never got the check from them. Spoke to 4 different people with increasing responsibilities and nothing. Even sent in a complaint nothing. Just a blimp on their radar I guess. Guess that's why banks keep making money.

Been with Scotiabank for years never had a bad cheque ever deposited, yet they hold a cheque from a reputable company that has been around for years. Cheque was a measly $1000. I will be closing my accounts with.this bank as soon as my funds have cleared. After I incurred several nsf fees because funds were not available inquired about getting a refund because I attempted to deposit funds. They replied with we can refund 1 so they still steal $150 from a customer they can see is tight on funds. Accounts closed will never refer another person there again.

I had a great experience with Trevor Barnett. He helped me figure out a plan for some financial changes and guided me through my options. He was happy to answer all of my questions. I am very happy with my experience and will continue working with him for any advising needs I may have.

Trevor Barnett set up a chequing account for me with all the safeguards I required to ensure that my account is secure. It is a pleasure dealing with someone as polite and thorough in his approach.

"We cannot help you at this time." - How about explaining why you cannot help me instead of being useless and repeating yourselves. I require some cash from my account and you cannot give me any? Did you run out? This was location 1 of 5 over the same week that would not let me take any money out of my account.

I went into this branch as I needed to pick up a new debit card. I was very apprehensive of the reviews at first so went in with my guard up with respect to customer service. Immediately I noticed in front of each teller there was a quick survey for review and how the customer service was. The bank manager had to step in to help the teller out and they even stayed back an additional 10 minutes after they closed to serve me and made sure I had a working debit card. I hope this effort continues with banking service and aim to improve their overall rating. Thank you for putting customer needs as a priority.

Worst banking experience ever & worst customer service I have ever came across. We went there in the morning during our job hours hoping that our work would be done in a matter of few minutes. However, they had us wait for more than 2 hours in order to meet the Assistant Manager & even after waiting for those many hours, the meeting with Assistant Manager never happened. We were then eventually sent to an Advisor who denied to help us even after explaining him & all the staff about what we needed. Later we went to another branch where we were assisted in a jiffy & got our work done in just few minutes. Looking at all the negative reviews here, this branch should seriously consider changing their management & staff as these guys are incompetent.

Poor service. They made us wait 2 hours for the assistant manager and eventually sent us to an advisor who refused to help us. Went to a different branch and they were happy to help us within minutes.

Absolute worst customer service I’ve received at a bank. Came in for a card I was waiting for that i ordered over two weeks ago. As soon as he heard I didn’t get a message saying the card was in he was clearly not going to help me. Took my id and pretended to check even though I explicitely told him my Id doesn’t match my account info. Pretended it wasn’t in, I asked to check again with my account name he pretended to check again WITHOUT ASKING FOR MY NAME it’s been a month since I ordered my replacement card and never received the notice. I’ve loved my Amex for over 10 years but am now canceling it. Peace out Scotiabank.

Worst experience at a bank ever. The teller was rude, i came in to get USD and wanted a mix of bills including 1's. He was rude the entire process talking to the other teller about how I want so many 1s and then they told me theres a max of 30 when they clearly had more. He was rudely brief with the entire interaction and at the end just gave me a receipt and I walked out. Ive been to many scotiabanks in my life and never once was treated like that. Then when I came on here I realized its not just me, this branch is GARBAGE customer service and they should think hard about changing the management and staff.

Extremely unprofessional and incompetent.I took my HM Revenue & Customs cheque from UK there to deposit and they stared at it like they had never seen a foreign cheque before. I was told they cannot deposit it because ‘manager wasn’t there and they don’t know what to do with it’.It is bank branch and I have a government issued cheque, is it really that difficult?!Embarrassing …

Terrible experience - the atm at the stittsville branch ate my money and I needed the money for an automatic withdrawal pending. I went to the bank, the teller had the money, but she had to get permission from the bank manager who refused to deposit the money until the customer service manager who wasn’t there signed off to give me my money. This is the second time I have had issues with this branch - I honestly feel that they are incompetent or they just have a desire to complicate people’s life’s. I’m so upset !!!
