I had an Appointment with Emily at 2:00 and i arrived at 1:45, a little early. After about 30 minutes I still didnt get any update and continued to wait until at 2:30 Emily came out and started to apologize about the wait and said that she will be available in 2-5 minutes as she had some clients, I continued to wait until 2:50 and still no update even when I asked the front desk. Nobody came out even after waiting for an hour.Terrible experience and horrible time management.

The absolute worst customer service via phone. In person the people are quite great but if you call in via the number online or even if you call the branch directly for something as simple as asking for holiday branch hours you will wait on the phone for 20+mins, they will require your name and phone number and then they will still not answer your question and instead pass you to a voicemail box

I worked full time from monday to friday and on Saturday when I went there for an important work the bank was closed I don’t know why on maps they are showing we are open but they are not. Please do something on the maps hours. Because alot of people come on Saturday.

Got my credit card delivered to this branch and visited the branch today to collect the same. Tellers and entire team at Bank were very helpful. Keep up the good work guys ?

I'm Scotiabank customer since 2004, and had mortgage for over 17 years. Only thing I have left is Visa, and the first time I reported unauthorized transaction, I was told (after 30 min of wait time), that Scotiabank will not do anything to protect my interests, and I have to go after merchant my-self. I will be paying of my Visa in full before due date, cancel it, and advise all my friends and family to move away from this financial institution.

Was in the bank for 2.5 hours trying to sort out how we could pay off one our mortgages. When I asked if I could use the bathroom the manager replied 'No, it's not a secure area" Really? Absolutely ridiculous. When people don't trust me I don't trust them, I'm funny that way.

Terrible Customer Service, put a hold on a CERTIFIED CHEQUE, what is the point of a certified cheque if they treat it like a regular cheque? The 5 day hold is from the 1950s and have no business in today's world

I made a mortgage prepayment and the manager told me that it won't decrease my payments just reduce my amortization, and went on to explain how "thats good because you will pay off your mortgage sooner that's why people make prepayments". She was really confident in her response but wrong. I called scotia and someone fixed it within minutes. Management needs to have better knowledge cause it can cost clients thousands.

Do not get your mortgage through this branch or with Scotia in general. Since the start of our mortgage application to port my mortgage it has been nothing but issues from them. It all started with them paying our property tax late every quarter and now most recently not being educated and promising things that will later be revoked and withdrawn. Sarvesh Thakkar is uneducated in mortgages and will provide false and misleading information. No attention to detail on documentation submitted and what you as a consumer are ultimately looking for. Zero accountability from the manager and branch manager on the ongoing issues. I never would have entered into a purchase agreement on a new property if they had provided the correct and accurate information to me from the get go. Stay away!!! I cannot even portray all of the issues I had in this review as it would have to be sent to a publisher as it would be a NOVEL! By far Scotia Bank has to be the worst customer service on the planet, they are quick and diligent when they want your business. Once they have it, it is a completely different story. Save yourself the headache and stress of uneducated workers.

Absolutely Terrible Service.Please hire trained staff. You would think they would appreciate having you as a client, however at this branch it seems like they will do whatever they can to not help you.Waste of time, fuel, energy.One of the worst banks I’ve dealt with, compared to the others.

Lady was so judgemental...made me feel working in a machine shop is some sort of crime as i was there in my work clothes and she denied me giving a new debit card saying the server is down even after giving her all the information she asked.

I have to agree with the other ratings on here.Only because the branch manager wanted to close the branch at 5 PM on a weekday, I was rushed out the door, and told not to worry about the fact that my identity may have been breached. Due to personal circumstances, this type of news could not have come at a worse time. That evening I got chest pains like I have never had before. The call centre says there’s no problem with my accounts at all and that there has been no breach. I need answers about this as this contradiction is unacceptable. The call-center that deals with the possible breach is not open until Monday and I now have to wait over the weekend to confirm what’s what.All of the call centres for Scotiabank that are open over the weekend has a 45 minute wait time.I realize there are staff shortages throughout several industries since Covid. However, the banks make more money than most corporations, and should be able to hire more people with better incentives maybe?To top off all of this, I don’t see any replies from the branch regarding any of these reviews.

Really frustrating experience:1) Told teller to activate my debit cards - didn't activate ANY of them2) Charged fees for which I shouldn't have been charged - still not reimbursed.3) A whole credit card that doesn't show up on online banking; getting calls to make payments but can't make online payments4) Being charged a dollar for each interac e-transferJust so so so so disappointed. I switched over from RBC expecting better but this is somehow worse.

Just look the recent reviews. I'm closing everything I have in Scotiabank. Just tried to move some money I have in my GIC and have to wait 48 hours. Want to make a US$400 to my US account and spent 10 minutes answering about where I get the money. Bought a certified check from my savings to finally paid off my car and they questioned for what I need the money. Need $5,000 and they don't have the money in the branch. Have to go to the ATM. Worst bank experience ever!!!!!!!
