Dear Shopper's Drug Mart Management,I am writing to express my deep concern and frustration regarding the consistently terrible service I have experienced at your pharmacy. As a loyal customer, I believe it is crucial to bring these issues to your attention so that improvements can be made to better serve the community and ensure the safety and well-being of your customers. My experiences at your pharmacy have been marked by a series of concerning incidents that have left me not only dissatisfied but also deeply worried about the quality of care provided. To begin with, the extended wait times at the counter are unacceptable, especially when there are multiple staff members behind the counter. What is particularly distressing is the lack of acknowledgment or even a simple assurance of assistance during these wait times. It feels as though I am invisible and disrespected as a customer.Furthermore, I have encountered issues with prescription fulfillment on multiple occasions. One recent incident involved a delay in renewing my anxiety and depression medication, despite knowing when my medication would be done, as well as my doctor's request for prompt renewal. Missing even a single day of this medication can have life-threatening consequences for individuals like me, who rely on it for their mental health, but apparently that doesn’t matter to the Strathroy Shoppers Pharmacy staff. In another alarming incident, a pharmacist contradicted my doctor's instructions regarding the use of a prescribed medication, and when I questioned the advice, I was met with laughter and condescension. I was advised by the pharmacist to take a suppository by mouth, even when I told him this is not how the doctor told me to take the medication the pharmacist told me I was incorrect (so apparently they can overrule doctors?) This not only compromised my trust in the pharmacist but also had detrimental effects on my health and led to unnecessary confusion and stress. There was also an incident where your pharmacy claimed I had already picked up an IUD, which was clearly not the case. This raises concerns about the security of customer information and the possibility of theft within the pharmacy. It is essential to remember that a pharmacy's primary responsibility is the health and well-being of its customers. Given the recurring issues I have faced, I firmly believe that a thorough evaluation of the competence and professionalism of your pharmacy staff is warranted. Customers should be able to trust that they will receive accurate information about their medications and timely access to their prescriptions.I kindly request that you take immediate action to address these concerns, reevaluate the performance and conduct of your pharmacy staff, and implement necessary changes to prevent such issues from recurring. Ensuring the safety and health of your customers should be your top priority.I appreciate your prompt attention to this matter and hope to see a positive change in the service provided by Shopper's Drug Mart. I look forward to hearing from you soon regarding the steps you intend to take to resolve these issues.

I love this Shoppers Drug Mart. I find the staff to be super helpful and friendly. The pharmacy staff are top notch and show patience and knowledge in each of the interactions I have had with them. Carrie, a cosmetic consultant, demonstrated excellent customer service last Thursday, when she assisted me with product colour selection and then ensured at check out that I obtained my full seniors discounts and the extra $10 off coupon for my next purchase. Carrie had to get assistance to backout my purchases and then reenter them. Carrie persisted and apologized for the time it was taking which I extremely appreciated. I will continue to shop at this location of Shoppers Drug Mart.

I called and spoke to a pharmcy assiant. I had asked them to fax a prescription request to my doctor, and told them he was in holidays so it may be a while before they got it returned. I had asked if they could write me a script in the mean time to get me through as they have done this in the past. She put me on hold for about 5 seconds before replying: “ya, no we don’t do that”. After I expressed my concern about not having my medication and that I would have to abruptly stop taking it she told me calling at 2:30 on a Friday wasn’t ideal for me if I needed my medication. We don’t all work regular hours and it shouldn’t matter when what time someone calls as long as they are open. She told me my only option was to go to emergency and ask if they could fill it for me. As I was replying she hung up on my mid sentence.

I'm honestly surprised at the amount of whining in the reviews. Never had an issue. I guess if I had one it would be the pricing being a tad high but thats ubiquitous these days.

The quality of pharmacy service appears to be going downhill. To be fair they have been thrown a lot of during the pandemic. However, the pharmacy fundamentals are lacking. Like dispensing the correct amount of medication. Twice this has happened. First time the technician had been able to correct the issue since I noticed earlier on. This month I noticed towards the end of my script and I was told it was my fault.??♂️ I then addressed the issue with the pharmacy manager and he basically told me he is sorry about how it was handled and offered no solution resolve to the fact I did not receive the correct amount of the goods paid for by 1/3. This place is either gone downhill or biting more than they can chew. They are lacking attention to detail and client service. You were given three opportunities to correct an error. Professional standards get a failing grade.PSA: People pharmacies are regulated by Health Canada and the Ontario Ministry of Health and other regulatory bodies. The pharma professionals are regulated by a professional college. If your care is not up to standard please report this.Either way I will not be taking my business here and encourage others to support small locally owned pharmacies.

The pharmacy at this location is unorganized, under staffed, unfriendly, and lacking compassion. Generally people who are filling prescriptions are unwell or caring for an unwell loved one, be mindful of this and use some urgency. Do yourself a favour and fill your prescriptions else where.

BING! PHARMACY LINE 1. BING! PHARMACY LINE 2! BING BING BING *constantly* . So irritating. Non stop. Arm & Hammer toothpaste on special, stacked on the bottom shelf and seemingly empty/sold out. Squat down, hands & knees, oh, found some --at the very very back of the deep shelf. Long arms for the win. Check out girl standing at the register with a 'closed' sign doing her best to direct everybody to the self check out and sounding like we had no choice. So unwelcoming. I told her I didn't want self check out and she reluctantly moved her closed sign to accommodate my basket, but wouldn't put the stuff into my bag that I brought. Swipe, dump on counter. Forcing me to pick up immediately and put into bag. Swipe dump. I won't be back. Terrible experience.

The pharmacy specifically needs a lot of work, huge lines every time and takes them longer than any pharmacy I dealt with to fill a prescription. Switched pharmacies since and have been much happier.

the manager here is so rude. I lost/had my dog taken from the parking lot, when my siblings asked if she could check the cameras she told them she didn’t have access and laughed at them. Of course I went in and said something to her about laughing. Today I come in and ask to post a poster of it since I lost my dog in their parking lot and was told I could. So I did. Come back 2 hours later and it’s been taken down, when I asked why they said they arent allow to post things, so I asked for it back so I can post it somewhere else they told me they threw it out.. no your manager just hates me because I yelled at her for laughing about my dog being missing.

If I could give this store a zero I would. Absolutely horrendous customer service! And this is not the first time. The staff and manager are rude, arrogant, unsympathetic, unprofessional, unaccomadating and simply lie to customers. My wife left this store in tears yesterday as the staff inside laughed at her.She purchased 2 hair dyes which were obviously defective, as they were 2 different colors when mixed, but had the same colour codes and bar code on the box.The staff and manager told her it was her fault, and they would not take anything back once it's been opened. Even though you can't tell if it's defective until you open it. They told her they didn't care, told her to contact the manufacturer, and outright refused to exchange them. They continued to laugh at her while she stood outside crying. We drove to a London Shoppers Drug Mart, the manager there looked at the product, said it was an obvious defect and it should not be like that, and refunded our money. If you live in strathroy, drive to London, it's only 20 minutes and the customer experience is night and day difference. We will not be spending any more money at this Shoppers. The owner/franchisee of this strathroy shoppers should be ashamed.

Ever since Drew Peddie left, the new ownership has been terrible. When I need physician approval for a refill, sometimes when I call the pharmacy says they will fax it and then... they just don't. For awhile I thought the issue was my doctor's office, but from talking to different people I've found out this is an issue with this specific Shoppers.I've switched to Bosson's Guardian. They aren't open as late, but Shopper's isn't worth the convenient hours anymore.
