“Visited Donovan Auto for the first time after Kal Tire quoted me on a tie rod end problem when I requested a tire swap and alignment. I asked George for a quote on the tie rod and about his availability. Upon inspection, he said it was not a tie rod issue, it was a lower ball joint. My usual mechanic told me to expect the ball joint would be next to go, but he is booking a month out, so I was happy with the diagnosis and the repair at Donovan Auto, who had the chance availability to fix up my ride on short notice. Also, I can walk there, so points for that!”
“The only place I will take my car! Jim is super trustworthy and completely honest about what does (and what doesn’t) need to be done. I know next to nothing about cars but have terrible luck with them…..he never takes advantage of this and if anything, does his best to save me money. Highly recommend.”
“Traveling through and undercarriage of car was damaged after hitting a rock on the hwy. Motel 6 employee recommended this shop. Met with owner the next morning. He was more then willing to help fix the car. I went and picked up parts and returned. He noted then gave me the wrong part and Ordered the correct part from his supplier. Fixed and out the door to continue on. Thank you for your prompt service!”

“Had my car battery give out. Tried changing it and came up with way more issues. Car went into limp mode. Brought my car into Bennetts the next day, they did a full inspection on my car, got a battery, fuse, sensor and wheel bearing for an extremely reasonable cost. Unheard of. Not to mention my car was ready to go the next day. Great service and turnover time. Couldn’t thank you guys enough. I’ll be back for all future repairs!!!!”

“My daughter’s car went to Rocktown for a wheel alignment following an accident. To protect the engine in cold weather, a block heater was installed. This has enabled a car which is seldom driven to survive in the Sudbury cold weather. From beginning to end, the service was professional and fast. “My experience with the crew at Crowe's was absolutely top notch. I limped into town on a Sunday evening,12 hours from home, with a bad wheel bearing. Nobody in town was open, but Crowe's picked up on the 2nd ring and said to stop by first thing in the morning. I did, and was back on the road that afternoon. An added bonus was waiting in the shop and getting to know the staff, who welcomed me with open arms. Most of the time, a setback like this would be a miserable experience; Crowe's not only got me back on the road, but made the best of the situation with great service and friendly conversation. If I could give six stars, I would!”

This is the third vehicle I've brought to them for an inspection after it had already been certified elsewhere, just to get a second opinion. What I appreciate is that they don't simply tell you what is required to pass a safety inspection. They explain what needs attention now, what should be addressed sooner rather than later, and what can safely wait.
They're realistic about repairs as well. If a small patch of body filler is enough to get you by for a while, they'll tell you that instead of pushing unnecessary work. I trust them because they give practical, honest advice and let you make informed decisions about your vehicle. 4 Stars because five is perfection and I believe everybody has room for improvement.”
