Just try to call the bank! No phone number given out for local branch! Worse service ever, won't even let you call and resolve 2 minute item. Must make online appointment, even just for a phone call. GoodLuck

Always long wait times. Lots of elderly people use this bank and there needs to be a bench or something for them to rest on if expected to wait over half an hour. Put one right along the wall where everyone has to stand.

I just went in to cash a check that I got from a well know insurance company and they nearly refused to deposit it for me. I have had a pretty good experiences with RBC before this and have been with them for some time now. The lady said that I was untrustworthy due to my previous credit history (which I have been significantly working on and improving over the last year) and asked me multiple questions on why I needed to cash the check, if I worked (it says I do, and have been, on the account) and what I was going to do with the money. I answered all her questions honestly yet the experience was still very frustrating as I believe she overstepped her position by asking me so many personal question.

On a Monday afternoon, out of the 6 teller desk they have, only 2 tellers are working. The line up is always to the entrance.

I was at the Royal Bank on Regent Street on Thursday of the Easter weekend. A homeless man was sitting outside, obviously in need and hoping someone would help. He wasn't bothering anyone, or causing any problems, but a woman who worked at the bank came out and told him to leave.I'm sure this woman was acting on instructions, which tells me that the people working there have no sympathy or respect for anyone who's less fortunate than they are. Things are hard right now - with so many people in need, I would have expected some empathy or at least understanding. Not everyone is fortunate enough to have a home or enough to eat. But obviously neither that woman nor the Royal Bank have no ethical compass. Shame on them and the bank.

Terrible customer service. You can't reach the branch directly by telephone. You're sent to a tiresome prompting nightmare to finally reach a call center. Wait times are horrible!!!!

The customer service is terrible, I've sent some emails and voice mails, but I've recieved nothing, nothing. It's service let me down, and I wont recommend anybody to open account there.
