Nice club to frequent. A little on the warm side when it gets busy. Low lighting easy on the eyes. Music is loud and thumping. Pool tables are nicely lit. Reasonably priced drinks. Unfortunately steep long stairway not very wide, hard to use if mobility issues are present.

Not as safe a bar as one would think.I often love going to zigs. It’s known to be a safe place for everyone to dance.However, last Thursday night I came to pickup my friend, and I found her in the men’s washroom, snorting white powder off of a phone in the stall with two strange men she’s never met before. One of these men even demanded a kiss in exchange for some « lines ». I feel the need to make this public, because most people are under the impression that Zig’s is a safe place for all folk. This was not the case last Thursday night. I am incredibly livid with the lack of attention on security’s part. This girl could’ve easily been taken advantage of in the men’s washroom, and who knows what drugs these two males were giving her. She was incredibly drunk, and I had to pull her out of the bathroom stall myself before security finally noticed that something was happening in the bathroom.My friend was subjected to a man who took advantage of her state of sobriety in exchange for drugs. I don’t feel safe bringing female friends to this bar anymore, especially with the lack of supervision on security’s part.My friend could’ve been disappeared in the state that she was in. We don’t need anymore MMIW.

ENUFF Fag hags in what was supposed to be our safe spaces. Inclusivity is a poisonous word when it detracts from why we, still, need a our own spaces to meet. Everything after LGBT is just straight people wanting we got (had). GET LOST. Straight people you have the entire city as yours why do you need to intrude on our sanctuaries? All these "bachelorettes" do is attract scummy dangerous straight guys to ruin what should be our bar. A GAY bar.
