Temagami Marine is what a Marina should look like. The only other option on Lake Temagami carrys nothing for inventory and service is nonexistent.

We arrived in Temagami and found the boat had a dead battery. I Charged it overnight but it would not produce enough power to turn over the outboard motor. I went over to Temagami Marine and hthey offered to lend me a battery or booster pack. I declined and said I would like to charge it one more night. We had the charge controller replaced in the Merc outboard in the winter, and I didn't want it damaged if my battery was bad. The second morning the old battery had only reached 6 volts so it was obviously fubar. I had taken measurements of the 1100 MCA battery they had in stock the day before and checked the boat to make sure it fit. When I showed up the second time to purchase a new battery they gave me a significant discount and only charged me the price of a smaller battery since he said it was last years stock. Easy people to work with, particularly in the busy season.

It was fast, easy, and hassle free buying our boat from Temagami Marine. Never before have we had such a positive experience when purchasing a vehicle or vessel. Norton and his staff are fantastic to deal with. Des and Katherine organized and made sure we had everything needed and it was ready on time. George and James outfitted the boat with top of the line components and skilled craftsmanship when installing the kicker controls. We are now life customers as long as Norton and his staff remain at Temagami Marine.

Disappointed with the service. I asked for the Velvet Drive transmission specs in the fall to order a prop, but was wrongly told the Walter V-drive was the transmission — a concerning mistake, as the two gearboxes take different fluids. The transmission placard was never provided. Spring service cost $1,255 and included a throttle cable replacement that wasn’t adjusted properly — it stuck on our first ride, and the raw water pump seized within 0.2 hours of use. I had specifically highlighted serpentine belt slippage as a concern due to cooling water issues last year, yet we still broke down. Despite a written agreement for an on-water test, they only ran it on the trailer with no explanation given. When I reported all this, I got a “thanks for letting us know.” Not acceptable.

Rare is the occasion where a salesman becomes a friend, but this was my experience with Norton and Temagami Marine in the purchase of our new Kingfisher 1825 Falcon. Norton and his team were incredibly professional, efficient, and went the extra mile to make sure we were happy customers in spite of the inter-provincial challenges. With full confidence, this was the best and most fun big-ticket buying process i have been a part of. I highly recommend Temagami Marine. Flawless performance.

My thanks to Temagami Marine and all the staff …. Norton, Des, Gloria, Katherine, James, Eric and Jared. I’ve been a customer for many years but recently had an issue with an engine that needed some urgent care. I called and was asked to bring in the boat the next day. I dropped off my boat in the morning with the intention of doing some shopping. When I arrived back my boat was repaired, serviced, and running perfectly. James took the time to explain the issue and the repair to me.
If you are thinking of doing business with this marina, I feel that I must comment about negative reviews. As we say “stuff happens”, misunderstandings, miscommunication and sometimes mistakes. It has happened to me. But there is no way that this is done either maliciously or intentionally to the disadvantage of a customer. I fully support Temagami Marine in giving them 5 STARS for excellent service.

Temagami Marine has been there for me multiple times this year when I was having problems with my boat. Skilled mechanics and great counter staff. Norton always answers the phone and works hard to solve problems. Thanks Guys. See you next season.

I purchased a boat, motor and trailer packaged that was listed on Facebook as brand new. My receipt is also clearly maked as brand new. When I got home I noticed some wear marks that looked like from oars wearing inside of boat. I also though it was a little strange that the trailer had plates but it was not registered to me yet. When I called the store, they then told me it was a demo. They also could not be bothered to give me any user manuals for anything. Now I'm stuck with a used boat. Would not recommend to anyone.
( Update. I contacted temagami marine and they told me that I got a good deal so it's OK that they sold me a used boat without my knowledge. )

I personally have used this marina for the past 26 years. My wife’s family has used it for as long as it’s been there. it is an excellent place to get supplies for your boat. If you’re having an engine problem or anything else wrong with your boat, they are the people to take it to. Other than being told, I could not fish within 100 feet of it, I have zero problem with these people. Highly recommend them for boat storage and all other boating needs. if you’re looking to buy a boat, put Dez at the top of your list of people to talk to.
