TERRIBLE OPERATION HOURS
One of the worst branches that scotia bank has .. closes at 4 pm !! Most people work till 4 / 5 PM .. closed on weekends
Not sure how you are functioning being so USELESS !

I am giving this branch two star based on the appreciation towards the financial advisor who had the unfortunate fate to deal with my case.
A week ago (June, 2024) my family called Scotia bank general hot line to ask on a very specific question regarding certain type of investment, the agent on the phone told us "No problem just go to any branch they will set it up for you". Based on that feedback, I booked an appointment for a Tuesday at 4:15. The Friday before that week, I went to the bank to make sure I have all the documents I need for the appointment, during that visit I told the bank teller that I have an appointment on next Tuesday at 4-4:15, the teller told me what I need to bring to the appointment and confirm that someone will be there.
Tuesday came by, I left work early, got the bank, and it was closed. (That's right, the branch closed at 4pm since May 28, 2024 lol) I guess the teller from last Friday forgot to mention that they don't open after 4pm, after I specifically came in to confirm the appointment.
Someone eventually came to the door, after hearing the last name of the advisor assigned to me, I was told that he's not in the office. So...guess financial advisors don't really need to confirm their schedules for the day, and just vanished as they pleased?
One unfortunate advisor had to pick up her co-worker's slack, and took me into her office. I do appreciate her effort and patient. MORE unfortunately, after I explained what I wanted, she told me Scotia actually CANNOT purchase that type of investment for me, which was the whole reason of booking this appointment! So far I was given a false promise, completely disregarded while trying to confirm an appointment, abandoned by the financial advisor, and left work early for no reason.
I often joked about people don't give it a damn and quiet quite, but this is beyond quiet quitting, this is pretty much a F you in my face. Don't choose Scotiabank if you have a choice; if you had sworn your loyalty to it, at least pick another branch.

Their hours are now terrible. I understand being closed on weekends. However, everyday i.e Mon to Friday, they are only opened till 4 pm. Not happy.

I went to this branch without an appointment and had to wait around 20 minutes in a queue, but the experience after that was pretty good. Yuhao Wang helped me with applying for a credit card. He was respectful and stayed after bank's closing time to help me. I would recommend going here.

Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.A 2.8 rating for this branch, is still too high.Let me explain.This branch has the worst set of tellers, worst set of financial advisors and to top it off, has the MOST pathetic, useless and vile Assistant Manager I have ever seen.I walked in for an appointment at 1:30pm and was standing at the front desk to be acknowledged by someone. I waited 8 minutes before finally being acknowledged by some guy named Syed.Syed was standing there flirting with two girls and completely ignored me for those 8 minutes. Those girls were dealing with another employee at the time.Once he was done, he told me that the person my appointment is scheduled with no longer works there.He told me I had to wait for another 15-20 minutesI waited and waited and requested to speak to the Assistant Manager.Jin Wang, is the name of the Assistant Manager. He is without a doubt, insecure of something and is clearly going through something in his life.When I requested to speak to him, he told his Teller that he isn’t interested to speak to me and to tell me that he is busy.I watched him deliberately ignore me and avoid any conversation with me. Why are you even an Assistant Manager? What a pathetic and cowardly man.I approached him at his open office and he was vulgar, and told me to “F_ _ k off”I laughed at him and asked him, “YOU represent Scotiabank?”Jin, you are undeserving of your position and should be disciplined.He has ZERO Customer Service skills.Scotiabank, I suggest you send this man to attend a Customer Service training.Scotiabank, do better. You cannot separate yourselves from the other Big Banks out there with the kind of service you are currently providing and the kind of people that are representing your brand.

People at the bank have been very helpful and responsive. Visited on a weekday so didn't have to wait at all.

The worst experience ever... Nobody in my life treated me so bad as this bank. They are very rude and I could not understand a word of anythig said. They kept on passing my call what seam to me the same person and refused to let me speak with the manager. They could not answer any questions and were angry I asked... I was ignored, put down and given false information by 4 different people. I don't trust them and at this point my money is gone to places they can't give me answer for... I noticed since Covid started every organization or most I should say started to do a bad job. At this point I will go over and beyond to get my word out and to every media platform, lawyers, human & consumer rights... It's not okay! I should not feel terrible for giving you my hard earned money for pieces of junk. I can just buy a horse and be happy. Terrible service at this branch... Evaluate your service, and family union you are running out there .

I used to go to the Yonge and Wellesley branch (terrible service). Today, I dealt with Qi and Brian who went above and beyond to assist. Thank you for the great service today.

Worst ScotiaBank branch ever!!!!!!!!!!!! Making a wire transfer on Wednesday morning and now I have to wait until the next Monday to get the money forwarded!!!A simple in-Canada takes tive days, GREAT JOB.After all,, Scotiabank is the worst of all major banks.
