I just call to try to fix an issue I had I was missing money from my account as I tried to explain the person on the phone I believe her name was Tracy was talking over me and not letting me explain as she thought she was right but wasn’t and I I was trying to explain what my problem was she hung up on me I find this completely unacceptable and if I see the same lady when I go in there I will be talking to the manager to complain

I've been a customer at the BMO Bank since 2014. I've been cashing my work checks there ever since so I put my check in there Tuesday The 26th I was advised from the after hours line that I could put my check in there and it would clear in 4 days. Well now it's going on Sunday of the 31st. I've called the emergency helpline. I've called my main branch throughout the week. Trying to get help on this so I'm currently stranded in Oshawa. I live in Niagara. I've been on the after hours emergency line for an hour and all they do is talk circles. There are emergency contingency plans for customers that get stranded and all I get is sorry can't help you. Sorry can't help you nothing we can do. Good luck! Well my phone goes off today at noon. I have no way no funds to get home so I'm basically going to be sleeping on a bench in Oshawa until Wednesday. I give BMO Bank Montreal Zero Stars minus Stars like they have bad customer support. The customer service line people. I don't know what to say. This is ridiculous. A computer says that they can't help me. I have to go to the main branch. The main branch says they can't help me. Everybody says they can't help so now I'm going to miss Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday work. I'm going to miss my work dates because I am stranded. I can't get access to my money. This is a bad bank and they are not kind to their customers

I visited this branch to close my account as they were my home branch, but the teller sternly refused stating that I owed them their monthly fee before doing so, even though my account was always above the balance to waive this fee. Confused, I explained I shouldn't have to pay this fee, but was told only a manager could override the charge, but they weren't available. Frustrated, I left and went to the Glendale branch, and to my surprise, the tellers there were able to proceed with closing my account without any manager approval. They instead credited me the amount needed to close my account, and then closed everything without any further hassle. I don't understand why my home branch couldn't do the same, or why there isn't a backup procedure when a manager isn't available during a client's visit. In my opinion there should always be someone available to handle manager approvals or overrides, even if it's an acting branch manager from another location. Banking can be time sensitive at times, and this branch, if it continues to operate this way, is at risk of dropping the ball on important transactions for clients if they need approval and nobody is available to do so.

Terrible. Worst banking experience of my life. I pulled all my accounts and went to TD who treat me like a valued customer.If you're comfortable with being needlessly exploited, dismissed, patronized, or being dealt with arbitrarily, then you will find a friend in this bank manager. After 25 years, may you never darken another day of my life. Good riddance to bad rubbish!Just an edit, I did as the Bank requested below. I emailed them, referenced this review for context, and haven't received a reply. I've learned this is typical behaviour where they are concerned, make customers jump through hoops only to either be ignored, or further misdirected. I've moved all accounts to TD and they I can tell you they treat their customers like the valued assets we are. Night and day different from BMO.Don't entrust your hard earned dollars with these disreputable individuals, and most certainly do not borrow monies or get a mortgage with them. You will regret it as I do. Glad I'm done with them. I consider them not answering my email as my vindication and this is my parting shot.

Diane and her staff are very helpful. They were able to address all my concerns and help me when I had to come into the branch.Very satisfied with the service and treatment. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.
