For the life of me, I can't understand how they could be allowed to rent a car in February without snow tires. On several occasions during my 1 week for the OWG this was downright dangerous. Apparently, winter tires was an option, not standard... in Northern Ontario... in Winter! Otherwise, pick-up went well even though my flight arrived late and drop off at 5am was simply parking the car and dropping the keys in a box. Final bill reflected the pick-up quote so no upcharge.

The worst car rental I have ever dealt with, I travel often for work and have never been up charged like this without my permission. I booked a car for 221, and was charged 521. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY they will try to upgrade you for many things without your permission and add insurance even if you already have insurance. This is a total scam, if you have the same experience as I have had, contest the charges with your bank. I will never be renting from this company again; enterprise is always the best company to deal with.

I would like to give 0 start for the service I have received,There is difference between the price what we agreed for and the bill say,Note : save your self, I have paid over 350 for 2 days, it was sedan,without winter tyres on it

Horrible experience !!!! Huge misinformation !!!! I received a phone call from the counter of this rental company suggesting me to pick up my car in advance (my flight landed at 11:45am, but when I make the reservation I said I will pick up the car at 1:30pm). I asked the clerk if I picked up the car in advance and still return it at 1:30pm next day as I originally planned will cause any issue such as paying extra, he said NO. But in fact, what he said was wrong, I do need to pay extra for picking up early while returning with my original schedule, and the penalty for that extra 2 hours is HUGE! More than $130 !!!!!I argued with the customer service on the phone for half an hour and they said they will refund me 50% of the extra charge, should be around $60, but eventually they just refunded me $45, They can't even do the math correctly, or should I say they do the math wrong intentionally?It is the worst car rental experience ever. I'm not saying that clerk is mean, maybe he is a newcomer and really not familiar with the policy or he misunderstood my question, nevertheless this is the most horrible rental experience I had.Listen up Budget Car Rental, if you are suggesting some changes on the reservation to customers, tell them other possible relevant changes to the policy or payment carefully, honestly and in detail.

Showed up to pick up my vehicle and no one was at the desk. They had a sign out noting “we’ve stepped away, but will return shortly” waited for 45mins, but no one ever showed up. Called customer service, they didn’t have a local contact and couldn’t do anything to help.

Worst car rental experience of my life. I booked and paid for my rental well in advance, and the car I was given smelt like cigarette smoke. It was a quick 2-day business trip so I just dealt with it and returned the car at 6am (before they opened) the morning of my flight home. All of a sudden a few days later comes a charge of $103 to my credit card- and no explanation/email. I left a voicemail and never received a call back. So I called the 1800 customer service #, and the charges were unauthorized charges (upsells) I did not agree to, but because I attached my keys to my contract on drop-off they tried to pull a fast one on me. Sickening. I will never book with this company again.

They charged $10 per day (for 8 days) for an additional driver because one credit card wouldn’t work and we used a card in the non driving persons name - AND they didn’t mention the charge! I’ve emailed the manager about this and haven’t received a response.
