“I was shopping in Ardene’s today for something to wear for an upcoming event. I was very clearly overwhelmed when a staff member came up and asked if I wanted any help finding what I needed. after explaining what I was looking for she guided me to a dress that was exactly what I had in mind. She was very knowledgeable of what they had on the floor and paid a lot of attention to shoppers coming in instead of keeping her head down. I asked for her name at the cash and she said Mya. I hope all my experiences look like this at Ardenes, and it’s your lucky day if Mya’s working!”

“We were in the store today picking up a Christmas gift and my shy daughter made a comment about a Roots pride button Sheryl was wearing. I enquired about purchasing one like it, and was told it was a few years old. She asked who was interested in it and when I said my 13 year old, she just gave it to her! She was so thrilled! “I can’t say enough good things about Mister J’s and the outstanding service from Jim. I walked in on a Saturday morning needing a suit urgently before flying out for a business trip the next day. Jim took fast measurements, pinned everything perfectly, and when he discovered his regular tailor wasn’t available on such short notice, he did something you’d never see at a big box store — he closed the shop and drove around town to find another tailor who could help immediately.
Within an hour and a half, I walked out with a perfectly fitted suit and peace of mind. Exceptional service, genuine care, and a shining example of a locally owned business that truly goes above and beyond. Highly recommend Mister J’s!”

“Swartz Fine Fashions is an awesome store with a killer selection of both casual and dress wear. They always have pieces and brands you just don’t see everywhere else. Chris and the crew are super friendly, down-to-earth, and always quick to help out or offer solid advice on style and fit. They’ll order things in, track down sizes, whatever it takes…just great service all around.
The atmosphere is incredible. It feels like you’re hanging out with good people while checking out really cool looks. The place has that relaxed, small-town vibe but with big-city style and a ton of selection. I’m from out of town but I always make a point to stop in whenever I’m here. It’s honestly one of the best clothing stores around.”
“Normally I love shopping at Bluenotes as its one of my daughter's favorite stores and friendly service but when I went in there yesterday to buy my daughter a jacket and asked if it had a winter rating I was told in front of the everyone in line, well its definitely not made for Nebraska weather and that they only sell stuff for fashion. All I needed was a simple yes it has a winter rating or no it doesn't. I didn't require the sarcasm or embarrassment for even asking the question.”

Please beware, though!! I have gotten my phone stolen from this store, pickpocketed!! This is the second time in this town that I have gotten my phone stolen from on my person!! It is something I never thought to be weary of here but if it’s busy, please be vigilant!! Cameras were down that day so security couldn’t do anything. Honestly so disappointed! Why steal from another poor person?? Have SOME morals..
Anyway, shop itself is good! ? It’s nice to have a store like this in Thunder Bay”
