John set my daughter up with a great starter package of a board, helmet and pads. Super friendly atmosphere, big thanks also to Cody who did the setup and took the time to explain everything he was doing while assembling it for us skateboard newbies. I may be back to get a board for myself this summer!

The coaches are great at skate camp- our daughter learned the most important skill- confidence. Can’t wait to come back.John is incredible and built her skateboard just as she wanted and it’s quality, great prices and made with love ?✌️

We bought 2 skateboards here. They are excellent quality. My daughter loves hers so much. The shop is run by the best !! John really loves what he does and it shows. Happy we have a local Skateboard shop we can support.

My son accidentally left his skateboard behind with his cousins during our road trip (8 hours away from Thunder Bay), so we had a total skateboarding emergency because he needed a brand new board ASAP. :DThe guys at the shop were amazing and we were very quickly hooked up with a skateboard my son was thrilled with. One of the guys rushed down and opened the shop early for us, and he made some excellent recommendations to my son. The owner also phoned me and recommended some good skateparks along our route home. These guys went way over and above for us, and we appreciated it so much.The shop is located right next to a great skatepark, in a beautiful location near the marina. For such a small shop, they have a GREAT selection.

Hands down one of the best skate shops I have ever been around. True skate shop owned by a true skater and is always involved with the community promoting what we all love. Eclectic is a shop you show up as a stranger but leave as a family member. This shop will forever have my business.

John and the boys at eclectic skate shop were phenomenal to work with.. I decided at the ripe age of 35 to hop back on a skateboard to spend more time with my kids.. I havnt skated since the chad muska era so I literally had zero idea what is what in the skate world today. That didn’t matter as the guys took their time and explained the differences between decks, trucks, bearings and wheels. I walked outta the shop with a complete that i feel confident in saying fits my style and size. Thanks fellas for taking the time and not just pushing me out the door with a sale. 12/10 would recommend. Support local. Support skating. ??

The best place to go for any skateboarding needs. Whether new or experienced, there is something there for everyone, and always helpful and friendly staff who will help out in every way possible, and invite you to come skate! Prices are competitive but cheaper than same-level quality stuff from online stores. If you want to start skateboarding then buy your first one here. Support local!

Hands down best store for your skateboard related needs in Thunder Bay, ON. Eclectic is a locally (and skater owned) skate shop with amazing selection, customer service, and constantly gives back to and supports the local skateboard scene.Please don’t doop yourself or your children by shopping at the “skate stores” in the mall that do nothing to support or progress the local skateboard scene. You will not walk away with quality product or any sort of product knowledge.Eclectic is an inclusive shop that wants anyone and everyone to have a positive experience with skateboarding. The absolute best spot to get all things skateboard. Not only do you get the kindness and customer service of a small business, but you also get the stock options and ease of shopping experience of a big chain store. John is awesome. I wanted to buy a skateboard during covid and I got to facetime him to choose the best type of board for me and then my favourite look.I would highly reccomend this little local skate shop for your purchases, especially if you're new to the sport. If I could give 10 stars, I would!You can find Eclectic Skate Shop on Facebook or Instagram, or in person at the marina and you can pick your skateboard and have it assembled, and be skating through the streets of Tbay all in the same day!Great experience and customer service, great product availability and overall awesome place to get into skateboarding.
