Generally quite a good thrift store. Mountains of interesting things to find, and they give coupons when you donate your no longer needed household items. Prices are great.

This place is pretty expensive for a second hand store that collects donations.I have beenin here three times, and every time I am there I overhear someone complaining about the price. The sad truth is Giant Tiger sells brand new clothes at similar prices. The main benefit of this place is you may find something old and dorky for a costume or joke outfit. You can also sometimes get a decent dress shirt for cheaper than average.

Outrageous prices. Anything brand name is marked up to almost retail level prices. The only good deals here are in beer shirts and CDs.

Value Village is a FOR PROFITbillion dollar organization donating less than 17% of its profits to charity. Please donate to any other REAL charity/2nd hand store in town. This one is a huge part of the problem-- selling brand new, unethically sourced clothing made my 3rd world countries for our fast, disposable society. Value Village is over priced and doesn't deserve our business.

This used to be a good and reliable store, but now, the clothes are too expensive and there are barely any people-run tills they are all self checkouts. And there are no more 30% off days or 40% off, only seniors day where they get 30% off not for just anyone. I do like that there are toy bags for a specific set price tho.

Always good to buy used products/clothes. I wish prices were lower and that the company was profit focused. I find it sad they take away donations from community non profits.

The service here is really not nice, and for a thrift store, their prices are insane. I brought up an unmarked item and the manager tried to overprice it!!! When I brought up the same exact item (and I mean the exact same product, same brand, same maker) that was priced cheaper, she wouldn’t sell it to me for the same, lower price. To make matters worse, she was rude and condescending throughout the entire ordeal! They need to put a standard pricing system in place, and they need to train staff in customer relations.

My experience at the VV in thunderbay was alright. They had a variety of non-consumables to buy. They also had used and new wears and all that. Although, If you are looking to avoid paying HST on items purchased, you should consider Salvation Army Thrift store.

They keep it well organized and tidy. The prices are outrageous for a secondhand store tho. Each time I see few brand new items marked the same as the store it's from or more.

I can’t support this store anymore, they have no cashiers and when I asked they told me to use self check out. Also their prices continue to increase while they cut peoples jobs.

Good location to buy refurbished stuff. The cost of items is low and the quality is good. I also like the concept behind the store.Great place to visit and buy the stuff for home related stuff. Better choice while looking for old items.

Probably if you get to thunder bay and want to find something cheap and of good quality you should go to this Syrian, you can find clothes, games, appliances and everything you can imagine, it also has promotions every month where you can get things almost for free, I recommend this site since it also has the Salvation Army next door, which will allow you to find very cheap things that will help you during your first days in Canada or if you want to start building your home

This is not a charity shop. It's a for-profit business, funneling donations away from the Salvation Army, at the other end of the plaza. (Which was there first). They give a percentage of the donations people put in the Diabetes boxes to the foundation, and it's based on weight. The stuff you drop off to them becomes 100% profit. Think before you give them your used things.

Bought some things marked 1.99. When I got home upon closer inspection found Dollarama 1.25 stickers on items. Also had a negative experience at checkout. No tills were open except the self checkout, while I was checking out an employee kept going through my packed bags and stopping me to make manager adjustments and ring in items that I had just done. Several times I had to point out to her that the item was already charged. Despite this when I got home and went over the receipt sure enough several items were double charged due to the behaviour of this employee. I was with a 1 year old and really did appreciate this time consuming and invasive check out process. Not to mention they do not offer change rooms and so as expected several items don't fit but to really make matters worse a handful of the items that don't fit were the double charged items!
