I recently went to drop off my resume at Pick of the Crop for the fourth time, and my experience with Mankomal Dhaliwal was extremely disappointing. Not only did he refuse to take my resume, but he also stopped another employee, who was already assisting me, from helping further. His attitude was dismissive and unprofessional.
Mankomal Dhaliwal then rudely asked me to leave, claiming to be the manager, even though I later found out he isn’t. Additionally, he has consistently refused to let me speak with the actual store manager, making it impossible to get any clear answers about my application or the hiring process.
The lack of respect and professionalism I encountered is unacceptable and reflects poorly on Pick of the Crop. I strongly suggest addressing these issues, as they make for a very negative experience for applicants.

I am so happy Timmins has a speciality/high quality grocery store. It's definitely made my trip to Timmins better ? Everything looks and tastes amazing and for a high quality grocery store, it is even quite reasonable. Will be back.

Very clean store, extremely pleasant staff. It's a store with owners that care and staff that are happy to help you. My only recommendation is sometimes the melon mix fruit containers are over ripped and taste or smell of wine (gone bad). Do the sniff test before buying. Otherwise, you're always going to have a positive experience and you will enjoy the food you buy.

A nice independent grocery store which is nice. I was recommended this place to go get their premade meals while we overnight here out of town. At this point I have tried 3 different meals. Honestly pretty flavourless.
The Salisbury steak had decent mashed potatoes and gravy but the hamburger patties were basically unappetizing to eat. Learn how to make an actual Salisbury steak as you are already putting in the effort with the rest of the meal. Nobody wants to eat a dry flavourless patty of lean ground beef with no seasoning.
The beef stroganoff also had very little flavour. Needs more sour cream and you gotta dry those mushrooms with some seasoning to get that nice umami flavour.
I'm not trying to be harsh. The prices are definitely nice. But I see all the effort you are putting into making all these meals so you may as well make them taste not bland.

Pick of the crop has to be the best grocery store in Timmins. The produce is fresh, there are many pre made meal and salad options for those looking for lunch or quick dinners, the staff are extremely friendly, and the atmosphere is very nice. I love shopping here, I know I'm getting quality food and great service

I wanted to commend Pick of the Crop in Timmins for their outstanding selection of fresh fruits and vegetables. The quality is always top-notch, and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Additionally, their fried fish on Tuesdays and Fridays is a delightful treat. Thank you for consistently providing such excellent service!

I would strongly rethink buying store made spaghetti and meatballs. Meatballs were black and needed a sharp knife to even cut. Disgusting Covered in sauce so you can't see burnt until you get them home. Cook should never allowed this to be packaged and for sale.
