Allan Gardens is a beautiful free spot to visit. It features a botanical conservatory with exotic plants, turtles, and fish, plus special floral displays in every season. There are great events, including a cute Christmas display, and it remains open through the winter. The gardens are inside, while outside there is an open park with a fenced, secure and amazing modern playground. It is a fun place to escape the city, enjoy nature and beautiful landscapes, and is worth many revisits. Visitors should note there is no on-site parking, only street parking nearby, and no dogs are allowed.
Lovely garden centrally located. Hosts an incredible diversity of plants and a chelonian surprise!

Great conservatory with a large variety of plants spread across two rooms, provided a great escape from the cold weather. In addition to plants, there are several koi and turtles to watch when you visit. The place itself is not very large, so visits can be short.

I went to the garden peak in winter and it was such a refreshing change of scenery. Seeing all the greenery made my day! It’s well-maintained and great for taking pictures, but it can get a bit awkward to walk if there’s a lot of people there, so plan your visit during afternoon or morning may be.
