my headphones were broken and the power button was jammed, but the owner was able to fix them within a day and at a great price!! he was very kind and honest, and even gave me a discount. highly recommend!

Our Samsung TV broke suddenly which required replacement of some components in the One Connect box. Oscar was able to fix it after spending a few days working on it. He was friendly, honest, and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend going to him for electronic repair work in the future.

Generally as a master reviewer for Google I rarely give out five stars unless it's absolutely warranted. In this case it is deserved. Oscar who is the proprietor of this electronic store and the owner was very Frank and honest with me in terms of whether it was worth fixing my TV or not. The cost of TV repairs today is very expensive due to the fact that a lot of it is usually defective logic boards . They have to be completely replaced if defective and they're expensive. In any case I shared Oscars assessment and went with the repair which ran me around $185 but considering that my TV will go for another 4 years it's worth it worth doing that rather than spending $500 for a new one with more than likely the same lifespan. He even arranged an Uber delivery for me which is extremely helpful considering that I don't drive anymore and I'm a disabled senior in my late 70s. I would highly recommend Oscar also based on his background. The man has a PHD in electronics from an accredited Japanese university which makes him a very knowledgeable individual in the field of television electronics. In any case I believe you're in good hands with him.

Came here to get my headphones fixed as one side was not working. Oscar fixed them in a few days at a reasonable price. Glad that old school shops like this still exist! Call or email ahead as the hours seem to fluctuate a bit.

TL/DR: The owner, Oscar, may unintentionally swap past/present/future tenses, especially regarding the status of repair. Ask for a written estimate, or risk his short temper as things can go sideways fast.A communication breakdown resulted in me being banned from this repair shop. I would not have agreed to the work that was done here, as it was more than I was willing to pay. When I was first contacted with the cost of repair, I was told “everything is ready to go”. So it seemed I was not given the option of refusing the work: When someone says your stuff “is ready” it means the work is complete, so I naturally let him know I’d come pick it up ASAP. However, after an abrasive conversation, I now understand what he meant was: the work “will be” ready, and had actually not yet been performed.When I arrived to pick up, I explained my situation to Oscar, that I would have appreciated an estimate before the work was done so I could refuse it. He then became very upset with me and insisted I had agreed to the work. I felt I’d been misled intentionally until Oscar said something that made me realize this was not at all intentional - this was a language breakdown that has spiraled out of control.When I told him he might have said “will be ready”, he replied with: “Will be ready, it’s ready, what’s the difference?” Future and present, I tried to explain. He then angrily insisted I leave his shop and never return. I regret not asking for a written estimate first.This all seemed completely unnecessary, so hopefully this will help future customers understand that Oscar may interchange past/present/future verbiage. Even without his silly ban, I wouldn’t return to AMI Electronics anyway, given how Oscar handled the situation with me, a prompt paying customer. He was rude and spiteful, going so far as to call my equipment “garbage”. Nobody deserves that.2 stars for completing the work properly and quickly; I have no complaints regarding the work itself.Update:In reply to the owner, the only person being discriminated against and bullied is me. I’m neurodivergent (autistic), I wasn’t trying to be rude. I told you in person I wasn’t mad about this. Please consider your own advice, sir.

My experience with AMI:1. When asked for the advertised 25% seniors discount it was refused (I am 89).2. My amplifier was returned not repaired after I paid $390 (apparently "repaired" but not tested).3. I sent the amplifier back. AMI were not able to repair it, refunded $300, charged me $90 through no fault of mine "for parts". Did not say sorry for the 20 days aggravaition .Great guy this Oscar.

Our baby monitor antennae has been broken for a while. We finally looked for someone to fix it and AMI did an excellent and FAST job fixing it!!! We lost the original antennae but he was able to create a new one. He went above and beyond to test the range once it was fixed, and can confirm video and sound comes through clearly anywhere inside and outside as well! Most of all I am grateful how quickly he was able to repair it, I didn't even have to go one night without the monitor. Thank you very much for your speedy and quality work ?
