An "old fashioned" hardware store in the best sense. Staff is knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Customer service generally is top notch. Go-to hardware store in the Baby-Point / Bloor West Village / Old Mill area!

Knowledgeable and helpful service, good prices. I bought a shopping trolley that needed assembly and they offered to help to build it for them right then and there for free, really appreciated that. When people came into the store I could tell the staff had a very friendly rapport with the local customers

I was amazed by the knowledgeable staff, and fantastic service. When I found out that they assembled and delivered BBQs for free, that was just the cherry on top. This is an amazing store, and I can't imagine why I'd ever go anywhere else.

One of my favourite small businesses in Bloor West Village. The owners are extremely helpful and courteous and always go above and beyond for their customers. Definitely one of the hidden gems of this part of town.

Fantastic experience. I bought my BBQ from Joe. He did a fantastic job of assembling it and did so free of charge!!! I love my new Broil King Baron. They will also order in anything from online to the store for convenient pick up and return. This level of service is a throwback to a time when you had a relationship with the local hardware store not a parking spot in a big box super center.

This is exactly what you want a neighbourhood hardware store to be! During COVID, I've called to check on inventory. The service has always been super attentive and prompt, and I've been able to pickup immediately after calling. It's so great to be able to get such friendly and helpful service and support a local business. I'm so glad I no longer need to use a big box store!

We had a poor experience working with the folks here. Sent an email on a Thursday with respect to glass cutting to replace a broken piece on our outdoor garage light. Followed up with a phone call Friday afternoon and spoke with the gentleman who looks after their email account who said he saw the email and forgot to respond. Didn't have the information available and said he would get back to me Saturday. Phoned again on Sunday after not hearing back and the employee who answered the phone said they would leave a written note. Phoned again Monday afternoon and spoke with individual responsible for emails and they neither apologized or had the information requested. Poor customer service for a local hardware store servicing our community. Guess it is back to the big box for me.

Unless you know exactly what you want and exactly how you are going to do it, I wouldn't come here. Simple questions are met with annoyance and exasperation. Ask them to do anything and it is a hassle. Normally I like to support smaller run stores but in this case, I might stick with the bigger hardware stores from now on. I almost never stop to leave a review but my experience here was uncomfortable enough in the few minutes I was there that I felt that I had to.

The absolute worst customer service! I entered the Anette home hardware in search of a small saw blade that had broken. When I asked the Asian gentleman just pointed to the back of the store and told me they were there to choose from. I kindly asked for advice, which seemed to really annoy him. He went with me to the racks and pointed out the blades. I asked him if they would fit (I had the saw with me) and he said that the blades were an exact match. It has been a long time since I was able to walk into a store, ask some questions, and get an extremely knowledgeable answer. Here was the problem: I needed a BBQ. Here was what I was thinking: I wanted a Weber. Within a few minutes, they walked me through the different Weber grills, explained the advantages of the different types, and we decided that I didn't need the most expensive one. In fact, I could save a few hundred dollars by buying a much cheaper version. And, so I did. I asked how much it would cost to ship it, and how much it would cost to have it assembled. They told me that they did it all for free. Checking a few competitor prices to see if they just folded those costs into the price of the BBQ I was astonished to discover that, no, they did not! This was a free assembly and delivery. That right there is a two hundred dollar value, at the best of times! So now, a few weeks later, I'm BBQing chickens like a king, looking forward to tasty treats all summer long, and I know exactly where I'll go when I need anything else in the future!

While it's selection might be limited, I can't recommend Baby Point Hardware enough. The owner is very knowledgeable, and is willing to help answer any questions. The selection of barbeques is fantastic. Overall a great local shop.
