So much fun! My kids loved it and had a great time

I have been looking at coming to the play café for about a year - it’s just a bit far from us so haven’t been yet until today. I loved the concept that I might be able to sit and get a bit of work done while the kids played and it also looked really well done. I was unfortunately very underwhelmed with the space - it all felt a bit dirty, a bit smelly of something between an old age home and Poo or diaper, and very few (if any) of the play stations were set up like the pictures I had seen online. I entered and let the front desk know that I would like to pay for an hour and extend after an hour if my kids were still having fun, after looking around it didn’t quite live up to the photos I had seen online as mentioned and I didn’t know how long they would last in there. I assumed they would let me know when the hour was up as I was busy chasing kids and I am an exhausted mom with little brain power left ha though perhaps I should’ve set an alarm. Instead they just charged me additional money as I went to leave. I ordered my son the rainbow grilled cheese he was very excited about after seeing the photos online. The presentation and meal itself really resembled something my grandmother was given in her old age nursing home. My son - a grilled cheese connoisseur and lover took one bite and left the rest on the plate. It was supposed to come with a juice box according to the website and I was not offered a juice box and did not verify this until I got home again or would have asked. Online pricing said seven dollars for the kids meal and I was charged 11.50 in person. Overall it is an OK space I would far and above recommend Happy Kingdom for much less money and a much more superior experience when looking at indoor playgrounds for various aged children. I would not come back, it was OK, I feel overcharged and underwhelmed. One thing to note is that despite being a kid centric space they did not have any children toilets, meaning all kids need to use an adult sized toilet so bring a smaller seat if that is difficult for your children to use. And finally the music is quite loud inside so if you do intend to use this as a co-working space be prepared to do so with the Disney type music playing loudly enough to distract you from work within this space. I do not usually leave reviews however after being swayed by the good ones for so long to come and try a visit I think it’s important to share a multitude of experiences when you had a sub par one. Their website also mentioned that there would be a craft at 1 o’clock and there was not. Finally I would not book this as a birthday party venue personally however if you do I would only do it for very young children it felt nowhere near entertaining enough for toddler age children. For context I came with a one and three-year-old. Much better birthday experiences at My Gym in Etobicoke, Little Sprouts on the east end, or Happy Kingdom as mentioned.

Cute cozy modern play space for kids. My 3 and 1 year old enjoyed. Very thoughtfully made with a fully stocked diaper changing station as well. The cafe has a good options overall. Staff if very friendly. We highly recommend it.

Bright and spacious with lots to play with! Most of the toys are hands-on/dramatic play. No blinking flashing nonsense toys.
They have so much to spark imaginative play... Vet center, zoo, kitchen, market, train station.... and more! Plus a mini ballpit and slide. My boy (3 years old) had a blast here. 3 weeks later and he still talks about it.
My only complaint is the fee associated with parents. It's one thing to charge a fee for child and parent, but it's upsetting to pay for "additional parent." I'd like to attend with my husband but to pay an additional $9 (plus the coffee we would order).... it starts to be an expensive day. Especially for an hour or 2 of playtime.

Great space, lots of fun things for kids to do. The only knock I have is it took quite a long time to get in despite having a party reservation (we got in about ten minutes after the start time, and making kids wait that long isn't always fun!).
Note that parking is inconvenient if you're driving in (no concern if you're walking). There's a green P across the street, but it's only accessible one way, and street parking is limited - it's on the Danforth after all. But I don't hold that against the cafe.

Great experience here hosting a 4 y.o. birthday party. We opted for the 20/20 package and brought extra food/drinks to supplement the food that was included. The play space itself was really well used by the kiddos. The pizzas were on the small (10”) side but pretty good. The 2 staff on hand were very pleasant and accommodating! They have speakers for music and a lot of seating for kids. If there are lots of parents sticking around, space can feel cramped, but it was manageable. Loved that they used reusable plates instead of disposables.

We had a wonderful time at this place with our three-year-old! It is such a beautiful space, so bright and clean. The staff are so lovely. Best cappuccino I’ve had in years, too!

I had my daughter’s 2nd birthday party here. Her and her friends LOVED it! It is actually the first time my daughter enjoyed herself at a play centre, maybe this one is more age appropriate for her since everything is shorter and they don’t have super huge jungle gyms/obstacle course like some other indoor playgrounds in Markham. I would say the max age would be 7 years old here. Older kids may be bored. We went for the 20 adults /20 kids package and it felt ok when everyone was spread out but it does get packed if everyone hovers around the food table. We booked it for 2.5 hours but it was definitely not enough! I would recommend at least 3-4 hours to not feel rushed and maximize play time. You also get the whole place to your party when you book! I really liked that.
I really appreciated the staff who helped me set up the decor and coordinate the party including bringing out the food/cutting/distributing the cake. If only it was closer to home I would come all the time! It’s cute and not intimidating for younger kids.

My daughter and I visited Bok last week for the first time to play a bit and see if the place is feasible for her BD party. At first I loved the fact that everything was made out of wood but shortly after I realized how rough everything was specially for little kids. There was a wooden arch at the top of a climbing stairs that my daughter hit her head twice and the last time she hit her nose very badly. Also my daughter got sick the day after. Some dolls and stuffed animals cannot really be cleaned or sanitized.
