$150 Shoes broke hours after wear with no return policy due to them not being responsible for manufacturer errors. I’m super disappointed and honestly have no words for how sad I am about how poor their policy is. the person in the store was lovely and helpful, but with the prices you would expect SOME care for the customer. 0 stars of I could.
UPDATE***
So along with the Demonia Maryjane’s, I purchased a pair of Killstar bat earrings that are supposed to latch shut in the back, but three days later, these $60 earrings have also broken (they no longer stay closed/ thus in the piercing)
This store is nothing short of predatory and full of knockoff merchandise. Do not waste your time or money!

Most people are right about this place, and I don't have much to add.
It's way more expensive than buying online, even after shipping and duties. And the staff are so nice and complimentary that you feel bad if you don't buy something. I know I'm easily swindled, but be warned. Unless you're just going there for convenience or to support local businesses, there are much better places to go in Toronto.
The store has such a cool aesthetic too and you do truly feel like your thrown back to the 2000's, but that's also in terms of prices too. Unlike back then though, now you can research and look up products online.

Very nice selection and very nice staff!!!! They have ACDC rag which I was very excited about as a j fashion lover ^-^ walked here from the Harbour front. Very nice for any lovers of j fashion, alt fashion, and even just ravers

cool store with a neat selection, staff seems friendly enough, but the markup is ridiculous. a blouse should not be anywhere near $160, even in harajuku its cheaper.

cool LOOKING store. not much else. I was only in for like 5 minutes but i gleamed that it’s all killstar, it’s mad expensive , and smells like your inside a perfume bottle.
hypocritical alt fashion. poser garbage. whatever you want. go 5 steps away to Black Market and pick up 2nd hand pieces for 15$. I don’t recommend this place unless you have a goth gf with a lot of money to blow lol.
liked whatever song they were playing and the girl in pink looked cool though.

They have some beautiful goth options, and im so glad there's an alt store locally, but im tripping balls over the prices because why is everything unreasonably overpriced compared to the original brand sites? For example, the Killstar Moonlight Satchel Bag is around $80 after taxes but from here, it's $140+. Or the Luci-fairy creepers are about $120 on killstar but $260 from here?? I understand how pricy it can be running a business, especially in downtown, but some of the prices are just exploitation, plus the staff are sweet but doing too much. It's uncomfortable to be hawked at and constantly nudged to buy something.

Borderline has a very curated selection, very cool to see stuff like this locally. However, with the niche and curated selection, comes extremely overpriced items. The prices on basically all items are anywhere between 20% and 100% more than you could get the items online. Everything is overpriced, even if it's on sale.
I understand that rent is very high, and having a physical storefront cuts into your income dramatically. I know that they have niche items and likely don't have the volume that other boutiques in Toronto do, but as mentioned by other reviewers, borderline is exploiting the individuals that they're marketing to.

Friendly with a great selection. Plenty of items that can't be found online or are often out of stock. Great alt/goth store

went in and saw it was very strange that they had multiple signs up that said "no pictures". Found some of the exact same brands/clothing pieces at a local spot and online on official brand websites for way cheaper. Probably why they had those signs up

Trust the other reviews about markups and staff attitude.
Positives:
- Some of the staff were kind and helpful
- Stocks plus sizes (though selection/quantity is limited)
- Good mix of brands, even some local
Negatives:
- Compliments were really obvious flattery that was meant to butter me up into buying whatever I was trying on
- Some staff tried really, really hard to upsell me with different accessories, clothes etc., and genuinely just putting them in my hands and then walking away. Don't be afraid to say no or quietly put them away if you have anxiety like I do.
- As well, I did feel like I was constantly being hawked. I didn't even have a bag big enough to try and steal something, and almost every item has an alarm tag anyways. It felt a bit excessive and also just made me kind of uncomfortable.
- The MARKUPS. Listen. I genuinely understand that it's a boutique. They have to import, so there's duties, taxes, fees, shipping and convenience of trying it on, getting it in person, so on. That said, no, it is not enough to justify a 70 USD+ markup. I ended up buying a Hell Bunny dress and out of curiosity, I looked it up when I got home. It is (at time of writing) still in stock on their site, in my size, for 80 USD. I paid 150 USD!
- Similarly re: markups, I noticed a lot of items had identical prices across the board (ie. 198.99 CAD). I couldn't tell you exactly what it means, but knowing the markup on my dress it just tickles my suspicion. It makes me wonder if that's part of the reason they don't allow photography whatsoever, because they don't want photos of the markups?? Idk
Tl;Dr: Sweet staff, but be wary of flattery, upselling, and heavy markups. Don't be afraid to do your research, or even look up the items online before buying. If you're fine with the high price tag for convenience/the experience, go for it, but for everyone else: use it to browse and try on, but even with shipping/import/etc., you're absolutely going to pay for less online.

TO START THERE IS NO RETURN OR EXCHANGE POLICY!! I bought some black platform shoes and not even 4 hours later the bottom of the sole of the right heel started to pop off. The next day it was almost completely off. I called the store to confirm that the store had no exchange policy and they did not. I will try to fix my shoes but it most likely won't work. If you want good quality shoes go to the actual brand stores like Demonia THIS STORE IS A BOUTIQUE NOT A BRAND STORE some shoes are NOT brand shoes they are knock offs that are NOT made to last.
I will never go to this store again.

The whole point of punk/goth/alt , is literally pushing back on things like horrible prices. The average person can’t spend $100 on a skirt.

Great place to get Killstar gear and other unique clothing.
By the way, reading the comments about pricey items… the reason is that they have to pay duty and shipping on these items.
The markup is not that big from cost. Let’s support a local store like this and keep it in business.

Very cute store! Friendly service, they were super helpful and attentive. A bit pricy but it makes sense because of the location, its also very helpful to try on the clothes to see if they fit instead of shopping online. Will be returning in the future :]

Even thought they have some great products here, I don’t find it to be a very welcoming environment. I understand that the items are very pricey but I don’t like being stalked around like some common thief. I’m probably not the only one but it makes me not want to go in and I’m sure I won’t again. Not to mention they don’t have much for extended sizes.
