It took them over 8 hours to change my winter tires over to summer tires, they never pick up their phone. Overall never coming back here

I had the worst experience ever with maintenance service at this Canadian Tire location. It was my first time going there for a basic oil change — and definitely my last.
I had booked an appointment in advance for 9:30 a.m. and arrived around 9:10 a.m. When I approached the service desk, the staff member didn’t even greet me — just looked at his computer and said, “Yes, what do you want?” in a rude tone. Not a great first impression.
After checking in, I was told my car would be ready around 1:30–2:00 p.m., and that they’d call me if it was done sooner. I came back at 1:45 p.m., only to be told it was still inside and would be ready “around 2.” I waited patiently, but when I stood near the counter around 2:00 p.m., the same staff member looked at me and asked, “Are you looking for something?” even though his coworker reminded him I was waiting for my Tiguan. He didn’t even respond and kept staring at his screen.
Finally, at 2:40 p.m., my car was ready — nearly five hours for a basic oil change. What’s the point of booking an appointment at 9:30 a.m. if the job takes that long? This kind of service defeats the purpose of scheduling ahead.
To top it off, I was charged an extra “oil filter access fee”, something I’ve never encountered anywhere else. No explanation, just an extra charge.
Overall, extremely disappointed — poor customer service, unreasonable wait time, and questionable fees. I’ll never return to this location and definitely wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Had an oil change, it typically costs $65 (the last two years) at this location (2023) and the Canadian tire at st Clair and Weston rd (2024)
This is PARTIALLY my fault for not asking about the price ahead of time, but when I picked up they stuck me with a $127 bill. Luckily I had the last two years’ oil change receipts and asked why they used synthetic oil ($50 more than the conventional oil)
Every time I’ve ever had an oil change THEY ask me what kind I want, my car is old and I go conventional. He said “unless specified we default to synthetic” ….i said no one asked me what kind of oil I wanted. He said it should’ve been asked of me, and since it wasn’t he refunded me $35. Still unsure where that came from but I’m annoyed that they couldn’t have been bothered to ask customers what they want.
Two stars cause they gave me $35 bacK…also the charge for labour was $66 and previous two years it was $25.
I’m not a mechanic, they should take the time to ask customers what they want and explain what’s available at what cost.

I went there to do my seasonal tire change. Extremely expensive, almost double the amount my dealership charged me. Also, what’s the point of appointments, if I have to drop off my car and come back later in the day.

I've been calling this store for a week now and no one answers the phone in the parts or auto service center. 20 min ago someone picked up the phone and when I said hello they hung up. Lol it's like no one wants to work. If I was the owner I would be furious. You're losing a lot of money!

Although I got bad news about my car, James helped me out and was very compassionate and kind to my situation. They were also quick to check my car and following up with me. Thank you!

The worst service I know. Zero management, zero mechanic knowledge. They couldn't even open the hood to change my oil. I had an appointment for 8:30 am to change the oil and oil filter. Now it's 11:55 and I'm still waiting (. And I paid $130 for that. What's the point of scheduling me for 8:30 if no one has even touched it for 2 hours. At 10:30 they called me and said they couldn't open the hood. Couldn't they find a mechanic at the service station who knows how to open the hood on a 2012 Volvo.

It is easy to book. They can do safety report for second-hand cars. And their price is reasonable and will not quote you for unnecessary expense on car parts. Some auto-ship ask you to fix these and that and charge you a large amount before doing the safety for you but Can Tire is trustworthy.Flexible drop off and pick up for car. Can check on their website for services they provided and make booking. Very convenient. Any questions you can also send them a message as the phone line will just ask you to make booking online.

Dont expect to be able to come in to get your tires changed quickly -- I came in for an 8:00am appointment for a tire change. I was told my car would be ready at 12pm. Nobody contacted me. When I tried calling the store, the phone rang endlessly. Terrible customer service.
