“Visiting Hare Krishna Temple Toronto was truly a soul-touching experience. The moment you step inside, you feel an aura of peace, devotion, and divine energy surrounding you. The temple is beautifully maintained, filled with spiritual vibrations, and the devotees are extremely warm and welcoming.”
“I attended and participated in Tuesday night at 7:30 pm and Friday night at 7:30 pm in Secular AA Meetings. "We Are Not Saints" @ 7:30 pm Tuesday and Friday”
“This place touched my soul. It is the only place where I felt at home. Greeks have something special that they transmit to you without saying anything. It is warmth, presence, tradition, love and faith. A modest place governed by Saint Nektarios who makes his presence felt. I am Romanian but in this church I feel at home, and the people in the church inspire me in the most pleasant way and I thank them. With love, Ecaterina!”
“Absolutely breathtaking! The BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Toronto is hands-down one of the most beautiful temples I’ve ever visited, and easily the grandest in Canada. Opened in 2007, this place is pure magic — every inch is hand-carved marble shipped from India, with no steel or metal used in the entire mandir structure. The detail is insane: millions of gods, goddesses, peacocks, and floral patterns cover every pillar and ceiling. It genuinely feels like stepping into a piece of ancient India right in the middle of Toronto.
The complex has two stunning parts: the traditional Gujarati-style wooden haveli (18th-century vibe with gorgeous teak carvings) and the sparkling white marble mandir itself. Inside, the ground floor welcomes you with the adorable Balroop of Bhagwan Swaminarayan, while upstairs is the main shrine area with multiple murtis, a peaceful meditation zone, and a jaw-dropping 6-ton central dome that somehow floats without any visible support — engineering and artistry at its finest.
Don’t miss the little museum ($5 adults, $3 kids) — totally worth it for the history and culture. The on-site Shayona shop and café are fantastic too: fresh sweets, biscuits, pickles, and snacks made right there — I’ve tried the pedas and khakra and can confirm they’re delicious!
Whether you’re spiritual or just love incredible architecture, this mandir will leave you speechless. A must-visit in Toronto.”
