The low rating is no surprise to me and I'm glad CIBC is not my main bank of choice. I came here to deposit a bank draft and the level of customer service between my bank and this one are night and day. The staff are disinterested, terribly inefficient, and show little regard for customers. In an era where customer service and efficiency are paramount, this bank failed to meet the most basic expectations.

The rest of the reviews couldn’t be more correct. I bank with another FI and had to come here to deposit a bank draft. Not only are they horribly inefficient but the customer service skills are extremely lacking. They literally laughed in my face.

horrible staff. They don’t want to do anything above their wage to help their clients. when I went to another branch they sat with me and the phone representative to sort out my account. Here they are extremely lazy and won’t even tell you the number to call.

This bank is a joke. They have a business line that is always closed but the teller is always sitting there doing who knows what. The manager is unqualified and unprofessional. There is always a line up.

Went to get new card, the person helping my partner did not offer solutions nor help. It’s understandable if some things cannot be done but the banker must provide solutions and pathways to fix the problem. The excuse was I can’t submit my form- that does not constitute a problem for the customer (it should be fixed by the bank). Very poor customer service, very poor consideration to offer solutions. I would not recommend this branch anymore because the associate Santo was very unhelpful and rude. When I asked a question I was immediately shut down because he was not helping me at the time, instead of saying please wait and I will get to you etc. Even though my partner and I were together for the transaction. Not treating me like a client made you lose my business, which would have been a mortgage.

I would give them 0..but apparently I have to be generous. Went there to close my account and get a draft with MY money. Associate couldn't help, then her supervisor came (didn't want to help) then they sent me to another lady (maybe the branch manager). So at first said thaty signature was weird...then, when she realized that it was just ridiculous she started making the best excuse I've ever heard. She didn't have the paper!!!! She's totally my new hero. So thanks to this amazing service I need to get a day off to go to my home branch which is not close to my home anymore. Ask me why I am closing this account...

If I can give it lower than zero star I will. This incident happened a few months back and I’ve been meaning to write this review for a long time. I came into this location to withdraw some money as I was purchasing my wedding gown from one of the boutiques. I came into this location and I went to the teller asking if I can withdraw some money I can give all the valid ID as I don’t have my debit with me but I am willing to show all the identification needed to prove that I am the owner of the account. I have been with Cibc for more than 11 years I have brought my business with them for a long time including all my assets and my mortgage. The bank manager said to my face and my mothers that I don’t own the account as the signatures don’t match I tried to do the signature three times and she denied to give me my money because it does not match even though I answered all her questions correctly the signature of a person will never match 100% all the time. The lady manager was very rude and said I can get my money in my own branch. As of now I am thinking to remove all my businesses including my mortgage because of this terrible incident. I will not be referring any of my family and friends to Cibc.

Branch is in a old historic building while inside was just ok inside. Relatively clean while doing some banking with the ATM.
