Out of 8 self-checkouts and 4 cashier checkouts, only 2 self-checkouts were operational while the others were turned off. Additionally, only 1 cashier was available, while 2 other staff members were merely watching the 2 customers using the self-checkouts, which is a clear sign of poor management! This resulted in a long line of customers waiting to pay, for sure will skip this location next time.

Absolutely horrendous. Door posted that they close at 9, I arrived before 9 with enough time to be in and out before 9, security saying that they were closed. I told him your door says you are closed at 9 and while I was walking in he grabbed my arm and tried to pull me back saying they were closed. He should be fired, keep your dirty hands to yourself.
When I complained to the manager she walked away, claiming she wasn’t the manager but “the assistant manager”, As if she wasn’t the “manager on duty” - which guess what, she was! What an atrocious way to deal with a customer.

The male staff working at the self checkout on Thursday, Oct 10 at around 8:15PM is so rude, disrespectful and has a very poor customer service. I rarely go to Dollarama, so I do not know where I should put my items on even it's said on screen. I needed a help and guidance from the employee but the thing is that he told me "what did it say" then put my item to the right place with a very rude attitude. His question was not to ask, but to insult me when it went with his attitude and voice. Hopefully Dollarama will train their employees well. And hopefully he will realize how bad his customer service is and how bad his attitude is. Hopefully he can read this review then reflect himself. Don't let your bad attitude make your community and country look worse in the eyes of international friends.

The Indian store clerk has a very traditional Indian manner. She kindly throws the receipt in front of people, probably thinking it's polite. We can't blame her; it's part of her cultural upbringing. It's not her fault. She doesn't understand that tossing receipts and change is considered rude here. No one has taught her otherwise, so we can't hold it against her.??????

This is as Dollarama as it gets. It's a large location located at street level near a major intersection. There's street parking, but it's Toronto, so there's a good chance you're walking a bit once you park. The store is clean and well maintained, the staff are friendly and there are enough of them to be able to provide assistance if needed. Can recommend.

They force you use self checkout like you work for them, and now want to check all your reusable bags like you're a criminal. I bought 6 items, and the machine made the staffer come over and enter a code 4 times because of "bag weight". This system is massively inconvenient for the shopper, MUCH slower that the old checkouts, and requires a staff person to constantly monitor you. I'm tired of doing their job for them and being treated like a criminal in the process. I'm going to switch to buying my candy at the bulk store where they treat you decently.

The security guards literally follow you around and breathe over you, the cameras at the self checkout are pretty ridiculous… when was shopping at dollarama was supposed to be this hostile. The management… don’t even get me started
