Amazing for a quick item grab with quick self-checkouts (lines are kind of long usually).

This Location is perfect at Dundas and Young. You can find almost anything.
The store was closed for a while due to a fire, but now has reopened. So much bigger, so spacious, It’s like the one on Young and Bloor, You can get lost in there, I love that.
The downside is it’s always! always! always crowded, And a lot of the staff that are there are stalking the shelves along with the congestion, Clogging the aisles with skits of stuff to put on the shelves, which makes it even more crowded and harder to make a choice.
Have never been able to fully browse the store due to the crowding.

New location as of fall 2024 in the basement of the complex near the TTC subway entrance. The location must be one of the first Dollarama locations with a built-in self checkout.

I recently had an incredibly disappointing experience at this store. The supervisor was unhelpful and uninterested in solving my problem. Despite explaining my issue clearly, she offered no useful assistance and was very unprofessional, laughing at me, which was very rude. This kind of treatment is completely unacceptable! Very poor customer service! I do not recommend this store!

Walked in today around 12:30 simply looking for some tape. Had a $100, $50, and $20 bill on me.I grab the two rolls of tape and then walk up to the self service and ask if there's enough in the till to break either of the larger bills. If not I would just pay with the 20. The girl watching self checkout radios someone over. Apparently nobody works the tills in this store unless called on.A different girl comes by behind the counter and I explain again about the bills. She says sure, but that she'd need to ask her supervisor. This crotchety old woman walks up and starts giving a bunch of attitude immediately even before greeting, for absolutely no reason. She said they couldn't open the tills to check if there was enough. How do you count your tills?Even so, I was willing to pay with the $20, so this was beside the point and she probably thought I just wanted a bill broken. So both I AND THE CASHIER start explaining as the supervisor is getting visibly upset for reasons beyond me, breathing down this poor girl's neck very obviously trying to get her to not take it, and the girl says "just give me the 50 and we'll see what's in there" so she processes it as a $50 charge and like magic, the tills have opened. Wow.The supervisor then grabs the $50 and starts inspecting it saying "I just had someone try to turn in a fake $50 bill" which is just as much a lie as not being able to open the tills. This woman is insane and was so fixated on the $50 bill that she was quite literally not thinking of anything else and from the very beginning was accusing me of offering a counterfeit $50 even though I was willing to pay with a $20. The cashier dropped her head down in what looked like tired embarrassment. At this point I asked to take the $50 back and passed over the tape, telling the supervisor that she had lost a sale for accusing me of offering counterfeit money and that I would never go there again. And I never will.I took a few minutes to walk over to the sherbourne and queen location where a nice older cashier was perfectly happy to break the $100. We exchanged pleasantries, I got my tape, I left. Imagine. To the girl - thanks for trying. To the supervisor - go to hell.Edit: Gee, that review by Chanrol Aventuras sure sounds similar.
