I really want to like this store but it's quite expensive for what it is. I understand the reasoning behind the prices but personally it's hard to justify the cost. The staff are friendly and helpful and offer good advice but the store owner is not particularly pleasant. My friend and I actually heard the store owner tell a woman who commented that an outfit was too tight that "maybe you should do a lap around the block" - which was the motivation for writing this review. This coupled with the cost is reason enough for me not to go back.

Weirdest most crowded store.. I picked up a a very casual cotton print dress off the rack and was astounded at the price tag. 385.00 ?!?! It was second hand and knowing the brand the dress was probably 50-60.00 brand new at most! The “sale” brings the dress down to a slightly more reasonable price (still not really) but why not just price things normally and avoid this fake “sale” of 60 percent off bloated price tags? Girl behind front desk was rude, said she doesn’t make the prices and continued chatting with her co-worker, almost like she knew the prices were wack. Too bad because I love supporting local businesses but I just can’t with this store!

Genuinely one of the worst shopping experiences I’ve had. I’ve come across this shop a few times in the past 5 or so years and just this past week I was shopping for a dress for my friends bachelorette and I was so confused by the pricing and also was feeling very pressured and overwhelmed by her presence to buy something. Everything is 60% off for a sale that’s been happening for over 6 years. An H\\u0026M dress I had my eye on was listed at $124 which doesn’t even make sense considering the original price at the store was half of that. I love to shop local and I love that it’s one of the only vintage stores in st Clair but I feel like the owner is taking advantage of that. I found I received attitude when I politely declined the purchase. If you’re wanting a relaxed casual shopping experience without pressure of having to purchase something, please don’t go here.

I always love shopping at small businesses and a good thrift shop. The vibe is immaculate however the pricing is not. Upon digging for some finds I found lots of things over regular retail pricing. With the 60% it’s kinda okay? However the owner was over the top and made me feel bad about my size. Yelled at me from her seat.. without me asking that their plus sizes are in the back. It’s kinda funny though because that’s where I saw the Value Village shopping bags.. before they get put out on the shop floor. Don’t shop here. Update: In response to the Owner. I appreciate you taking the time to share with me some of the ins/outs of your shop however in hindsight to do so in such a public setting is outrageous. This only validates my concerns of the shopping experience I had while in your shop. I do understand why things are marked up due to various types of circumstances involving mending, cleaning and sources the pieces in your shop. However I am merely telling you how as a consumer it appears and the feelings it left me with. While you may have gone through all these steps.. all clothing stores also do this and seeing those types of bags laying about makes me feel cheated and with a bad taste in my mouth. Sourcing at a charity for those who are financially vulnerable for your store is unethical. I don't know if you actually do, you could just be using the bags as you stated they are quite durable.. however it leaves me with this impression and you should be more mindful for the customer experience. Your pricing is your choice. However after your response, I went though and overlooked a bunch of other google reviews who all had the same concern and it said that you've also had this "discount" for quite some time, feeling like some sort of sale tactic thats blatant and maybe it should be reevaluated based on various customers opinions, not just my own. I hope you can learn from this and if "dealing with the public" is something you do in fact love maybe you will continue to "persevere" and take it a bit more seriously. Any chance of me returning to your store is gone due to this poor customer experience. For those who have followed this post chain, take it as a warning and reminder that our dollars are our encouragement for good business practices. This isn't something I would recommend ever.

Stumbled upon this after visiting the Salvation Army a few blocks east. Staff was nice and helpful, but my god, the prices are insanely high for worn, secondhand items! I saw plenty of great and unique pieces, but couldn’t believe seeing H&M and Zara items priced higher than retail… That being said, I purchased a Pink Tartan blouse and Scottish wool scarf because the 60% off discount (when you follow them on IG) made the choice to buy these items easier. When I got home though, I noticed there were several holes in my scarf (priced $58 before the discount) that I didn’t notice in the dimly lit place. Their receipt says all sales final, so naturally I’m upset.

Only vintage store I’ve found in the city that has some items with a sort of witchy feminine aesthetic. 4 stars because items can be extremely overpriced for the material/brand/vintage, but some are more reasonable and/or manageable with the extra 20% off if you follow them

Walking into the store felt like entering into Wonderland! There were so many interesting things to look at. A wide selection of carefully curated clothes and accessories. I appreciated how clean and well maintained the garments were and how friendly the staff was. I left with a one of a kind of skirt and was so pleased that I will be back to visit soon. Highly recommended.

My sister and I spent a fun morning in this beautiful treasure of a store. We kept discovering gorgeous items in every nook and cranny. Donnetta was such a pleasure to chat with and we are so looking forward to going back again.

Shopping should be fun. And for many reasons it will be at Gypsy. Items for all ages. Well-priced. Tremendous Staff. Guaranteed that you will enjoy browsing on your own or do consider starting a conversation with Donetta or Gia if you need assistance because that's when the fun really starts! I can't wait for my next visit, this time with my granddaughter. Highly recommend that you don't miss out on this one. Bring a friend and pick out items for each other. Enjoy!

I came here yesterday on my way back from school, and Donnetta was super helpful and sweet! She spent the whole day chatting and finding me cute outfits to try on. I ended up finding some really cute and one of a kind pieces that I’m super excited to wear. These include two cute corset skirts that I’ve been on the hunt for on a while and an adorable vintage bag! I also ended up getting a beautiful dress and two tops. She clearly has a great eye and knows to find one of kind pieces, and she will even give you great styling tips too. Furthermore, the store itself is a whole aesthetic! It’s a very cozy environment overall and is super organized (the clothing was colour organized which I loved). I’m definitely excited to come here again and find new pieces!

Finally made it in after following the Instagram throughout the pandemic, and picking something up curbside back in 2020, and I was definitely not disappointed! The shop just keeps going, with gorgeous items everywhere! And not just clothes, I snagged an adorable watermelon pitcher! I will most certainly be back!

One of the most beautifully curated vintage shops in Toronto - a lot of smart clothes but even myself j don’t dress all that smart but you can find some cool pieces to mix in no matter your style. After I went I brought my mom the very next day. Giving five stars but on a whole other metric of stars a zero as the name is ignorant
