I was disappointed by the incredibly rude staff. Super unprofessional and microaggressive.

Don’t try their cooked food here because it’s not worth it. For months I wanted to try their bulgogi kimchi fried and what a huge mistake! The woman couldn’t understand me and acted like she did as she kept repeating the ingredients, which was not my question, and she seems to just speak Spanish as I heard her acknowledging the Spanish speaking cook. Sadly, the issue is if customers have questions they can’t be helped properly with lack of communication. She was so stingy with the toppings now that see online pics that others posted, I can see mine had very little! You can’t see or taste the bulgogi whatsoever and can only taste kimchi and sauce, and the toppings DONT cover the fries. Oh the fries are less than half of the box too.
You’re better off going to Banh Mi Boyz (sadly not nearby anymore to my knowledge) or NY Fries for poutine or even better, head to the Aura food court instead and getting a bulgogi rice meal from the Korean place called “ Sushi & Bbbop”. Not only are they tasty, but they give you decent normal sized portions.

Asian grocery store carries almost everything. Great location, convenient hours but on the pricy side $$

Visit date: November 10, 2024, 9pm
The employee (a woman wearing glasses) shouted throughout the checkout process and treated the customer with a rude tone and an angry face. Even if the employee had any personal reasons, it is not an excuse for her rude behavior toward the customer.
It was a really unpleasant experience.

The staff member (a woman wearing glasses) was yelling the entire time during checkout, using a rude tone and an angry expression toward customers. Even if she might have personal reasons, it doesn’t excuse her rude behavior toward customers. It was one of the worst experiences I've ever had.

Don’t get this meal. It’s all rice. Absolutely no meat. It’s only there for decoration honestly. The onions were like raw made my mouth stank the rest of the day. Save your $10.

This store is the very reason self-checkout is becoming a thing and is much more useful in saving you the unpleasantries of dealing with moody, useless cashiers. Just got charged for an item I did not even purchase which reflected on my receipt, saw it too late before I could bring it up. On top of that, service is non-existent, I get you're busy and are just grocery cashiers but no need for the cold attitude sounding annoyed, slamming my items towards me while IM the one bagging them. The bad service seems to be a recurring issue based on low reviews. Check your receipts people, don't be negligent like me
Verdict: salty

I am not returning.
I had a decent experience before and I believed their prices were reasonable for what you get. The convenience was what draws most people to the prepared foods section. Recently bought a few items and they were all way way too salty. The cucumber salad was salty and not fresh (slimy) to the point it shouldn’t have been served. A wasted $20 doesn’t mean a lot to most businesses, but I would rather go elsewhere from now on.

I can’t believe I’ve finally come to Hmart…
This is a Korean mart located on YONGE St. There are many products such as various Korean foods, snacks, and fruits.
There is also hot food and sashimi, so there is a variety of menu choices as long as it is not too late.
The kimchi fried rice topped with a bouncy fried egg looked very delicious, but I couldn't see the kimchi content, so I put it back down and bought salmon sashimi and vegetables for the raw fish bowl instead, and it was very fresh and delicious.
When I visited for the first time yesterday, I passed by because I didn't see a place that cooks food right away, so I bought ready-made packaged tteokbokki.
It was delicious, with a chewy texture and just the right amount of spiciness (a level of spiciness that may not be considered spicy at all for those who like very strong spicy flavors).
Today, I visited again to buy pork rice bowl made on the spot.
Since the people who prepared the food were not Korean, I was worried and doubtful that it might not taste like Korea as I expected, but it tasted better than I expected.
If you want to purchase other menu items, we recommend that you come at least before 5 p.m.
In the meantime, whenever I visited Toronto, there were many restaurants near the hotel, but there was no place to buy a quick meal or to buy Korean snacks when I suddenly wanted to eat them. But now, if I come to Toronto, I plan to visit this place again without hesitation.
The people at the checkout counter were also friendly and kind.

You can purchase various Korean products.
The store size is not as big as I thought.
