I am disappointed to share my experience regarding a security incident at the store, which has led me to give a 1-star rating. While the store itself and its services are generally good, an unfortunate incident occurred during our brief 10 to 15-minute visit. Within this short period, someone managed to steal my wife's iPhone from her long coat pocket. The realization of the theft struck us about 5 minutes after leaving the store. Upon promptly returning to the establishment and reporting the incident, we requested access to the CCTV footage. Unfortunately, our request was denied. To compound matters, the security guard informed us casually that several similar incidents had occurred in the store that very week—five or six, to be precise. This revelation gave the impression that the store may not have reported these issues to the police. The lack of cooperation and transparency in handling such incidents is disconcerting and has significantly impacted my overall rating. Please be careful with your stuff while visiting the store or nearby area.

The staff at the cash register have 0 social skills and cannot communicate like a regular person to save their life. They don't make eye contact, don't ask how you're doing, speak in a harsh tone and treat you like you're part of a herd they wanna get rid of quickly. They don't know how to communicate with human beings & need social skill training before being hired. I've never had this experience grocery shopping anywhere else in Toronto except here.

I usually like shopping at this location however for the first time I'm very disappointed won't be back. I didn't want an item because of the price altho on the shelf it was clearly marked. The cashier included in my bill basically saying I had to take it?? The hot food I bought as well had the lid taken off luckily it did not spill in my bag.

First time and last time I'll ever visit this store. From the moment I stepped into the store with my 75 year old mother, the cash register was eyeing me down with the nastiest look. No greetings, no words, just a nasty stare. As this was my first time, I took time looking around the store, when I got to the cashier, I put the stuff down to the left thinking I was helping her and she barks at me "right side". No "please", or asking nicely, just complete barking orders. Then as she started to ring up my groceries you can see the aggressiveness and attitude in her actions; flinging bags, handling my groceries roughly without any care, and just even banging her handheld scanner on the table when picking it and putting it down; Then she barks out the total amount, no "please" or "thank you", no smile, no eye contact, just the meanest face as if she's disgusted by me or something. Absolutely no customer service from this cashier. She should be ashamed of herself to be so disrespectful and discriminatory.

The security was following me and staring at me while I was shopping the whole time, like seriously… I make 6 digits income and stealing groceries from a Korean store is the least thing I’m gonna do today. Never had such uncomfortable shopping experience.

Amazing!!!! So many products for an average size store. Hot fresh food made to order is amazing. Got a tofu bowl with noodles. You order at the counter and say all the toppings and sauces you want in your bowl. You can get everything or just a few choices. Everything I ordered was great! Products bought in the store you pay at a separate register then the made to order food. A must visit!

Excellent selection of Asian grocery products packed into a very cozy setup in the heart of downtown Toronto. The prices are competitive vs other branded Asian supermarkets. They even have their own loyalty points program, be sure to get your points card if you are a regular shopper here!

Such a hidden gem in downtown Toronto with on-site freshly cooked super delicious Korean fried chicken and beef salad bowl at a poor-student-friendly price.Almost everything in the past few years have become more expensive but their price has stayed the same and is still with the same portion. I will give one additional star for their integrity.

A tiny store with a huge variety of items! They have a wide selection of candy, ice cream, desserts, snacks, teas, and instant soup. They have to go meals and a little take out restaurant inside that serves Korean BBQ and street food. However, both of those had very limited vegetarian options and the ingredients labels were sometimes hard to read. If you are looking for a unique dessert or sweet, then I would definitely recommend this place - a large selection of ice cream, mochi, cakes, and Korean candy. Prices are also very reasonable.

Between the two H-Mart on Yonge Street, I'd prefer this location hands down! Compared to the one near Bloor/Yonge Station, this is definitely bigger and has a hot/cooked food section that you can order food from. Recommended to stop by for a quick bite if you don't know what to choose! It's consistently filled with ready-to-eat food like kimbap (korean sushi) around 11am reliably. The staff is constantly ensuring all items are stocked and everything is displayed in a neat fashion. Either way, great source for quick food to go like Kimbap, Hot Food (in the heated section) or even ordering freshly cooked food! Around 2-3 cashiers on hand to check your products out.Their Hot Food section is called K2Go and has different operating hours but really good ordering and food choices. We've ordered the Special Combo K3 (Tteokbbokki + Seaweed Roll x 2pcs + Gyoza x 2pcs + Free Pop) and the Build Your Own Korean BBQ Bowls. Food was pretty delicious and service was good!

If you're a fan of crispy, succulent fried chicken with a bold, spicy kick, then H-mart's Korean fried chicken is a must-try. The chicken is perfectly cooked, with a crunchy exterior that gives way to juicy, flavorful meat on the inside. The Korean-style sauce is the real star of the show, however, providing a perfect balance of sweetness, heat, and tanginess that will have you reaching for another piece. The portions are generous, making it a great choice for sharing with friends or family. Overall, I highly recommend H-mart's Korean fried chicken to anyone looking for a delicious, satisfying meal.

Pretty cramped and crowded. Items are usually well stocked but some price/item labels are incorrectly placed. Cashiers are efficient and generally have a good attitude. The premade dishes in the fridge I’ve tried are okay, not really something I’d get if I had other options.

One of the busiest place on the street. Cashiers arent very friendly. Underpaid maybe? Or just lack of customer skills? Otherwise, the place is packed with lots of goodies.

One of the best, if not the best, places to get Korean Fried Chicken. I make an effort to come here when I'm downtown and order a large sized Korean seasoned fried chicken (all for myself). Super tender and crispy, lots of flavour, good portion. Caveat: wait time can be lengthy if they get busy. I usually wait 20 mins.

I Love H Mart quite a lot, just that when customers forget to take their items after purchasing..they don’t bother calling you by letting you know that you have forgotten to take your items. So apparently, I forgot to take my 3 Rice Triangles after finishing paying for it. Instead of checking if the customer got their items, they didn’t bother looking for me..I wasn’t that far. So the money I spent on those 3 rice triangles..was for nothing..? didn’t get my 3 rice triangles but they kept the money
