“I came here during an extended visit to Toronto recently. The hotel I was staying in (a block from this business) charged too much for doing a load of laundry so coming to Elite was the economical choice. For a wash and fold service, it costs $40 for 10 lbs of laundry, which I thought was very reasonable. The woman who owns the shop (I think her name is Carol) is extremely kind. Not only was my laundry done impeccably well, but she finished it ahead of schedule. I dropped off my load on Friday and didn’t expect to get it back until Monday. However, she texted me on Saturday to say my laundry was ready and offered to drop it off at the front desk of my hotel. I came back on Monday to leave her a nice tip because I greatly appreciated the good service. If I’m ever back in the area, I will be sure to come back. Oh—and she has a very sweet dog as well (and there’s a sign at the door warning customers).”

Only thing I would recommend is to provide an instructional booklet on etiquette e.g lining up, what to do with people’s clothes who are finished but not present, and the double tap of minutes fiasco”

“I dropped off my suit this morning and had a wonderfully pleasant interaction with the staff. She was very friendly and personable. I needed my suit dry-cleaned for a wedding next week and, not being very experienced with dry-cleaning, expected a wait time of up to a week, but it sounds like I'll be able to pick it up by mid-week. I found the price reasonable and would gladly go back with other items in my wardrobe that need a refresh. My only word of caution is that they only take cash, so be careful of that.”
“I love coming here. Of all the laundromats in the area this place is the cleanest and the owners put in effort in fixing the machines and/or reimbursing you if one of the machines eats your money, or if the change machine is out of order.”

The shop is clean, well-organised and offers more than just the usual snacks — you’ll find interesting toys/collectibles, especially the cars! Super fun and antique. The owners and staff are friendly and it has a genuine neighbourhood feel. Highly recommended for a quick, friendly stop in the hood.”

Unfortunately there are not many instructions but by explaining that I am a foreigner and that I had never used a laundry, the cleaning staff were available to explain to me how to use the machines and how to purchase the detergent. I highly recommend!”

“I've taken many items to be hemmed and taken in. The work is professional, tidy and always looks good. When hemming jeans you can choose between a regular hem or the double stitching. I gave had jackets made smaller, sleeves hemmed and zippers repaired - all done on time and at a reasonable price.”

Owner not only got my suit clean for the party, they offered to have it delivered to me because I was working. This was on a Saturday. Customer service was beyond exceptional, the suit looked amazing and I was very fortunate they could do this for me at the last minute. 12/10 stars. “This place is amazing! I took an almost brand new light beige coat in that had gotten a huge stain on the front and when I got it back the coat looked like it could go back on the store mannequin! The lady who runs the place is so kind.. I’ve brought 3 items in since the coat, one was a gorgeous vintage jacket with torn lining on the inside and I was so sure it would be impossible to fix.. she not only fixed it but you can’t even tell it ever ripped! Every time I bring something in to be fixed she takes the time to show me what she wants to do and then asks me if I’m okay with it. I’ve never experienced that before! Usually they just take the item and do what they think is best. The fact that she cares about her customers enough to include them in the decision making is something I’ve never experienced before. The pricing is pretty comparable to other places I’ve been. I would highly recommend this place if you live in the area and want a reliable dry cleaner/seamstress. I’ve attached photos of the coat that is now spotless, and the one of the jacket where the lining ripped.”
